Wingin It Lacquer "Mermaid Scales and Peacock Tails"

You need this color!

Yes you DO!!!  Today I have Wingin IT Lacquer "Mermaid Scales and Peacock Tails"...it is amazing!  I decided to pair mine over my FAVORITE black creme Cult Nails "Nevermore".

Here is 1 coat of Wingin It Lacquer "Mermaid Scales and Peacock Tails" over 1 coats of Cult Nails "Nevermore", no top coat.

Wingin It Lacquer "Mermaid Scales and Peacock Tails" is a black jelly LOADED with assorted sized iridescent glitter in varying shapes. AMAZING!  I added a little thinner to my sample bottle, so that application of this beauty went off stitch free.  It applied smoothly and really didn't need a lot of extra coats, one was enough.

Here it is in indirect light...

Here it is on the thumb in 2 coats...

The base is sheer enough that you can top this over any dark color and it will be magical! :)

You can purchase Wingin It Lacquer on their Etsy Shop and you can contact them on their Facebook page. Their polishes are $9.00 a bottle and they also make Nail Lacquer Jewelry too :)

Happy Friday and Keep It Sweet!

Candied Lustre "Jawbreaker" and "Strawberry Milkshake"

I have two more "sweet treats" for you from Candied Lustre, "Jawbreaker" and "Strawberry Milkshake".

Are you ready for this? Yummy-yummy!

Candied Lustre "Jawbreaker" over China Glaze "That's Shore Bright"
2 coats, no top coat

Candied Lustre "Jawbreaker" has a clear base with multi-sized purple, green, pink, blue and red matte glitter.  This is really fun  top coat and goes perfectly with the hottest bright colors for summer. This glitter was easy to apply, no clumping or "fishing" for glitter out of the bottle, and it dried fast.

I am pleasantly surprised at indie brand polishes and how easy they are making glitter application.  I have not encountered any glitter application problems, with any indies lately. Bravo ladies, the "Big Dogs", better set-up their game, LOL!

I chose to pair it with China Glaze "That's Shore Bright", which is the perfect purple since it leans both pink and purple.

Here is a pic in indirect lighting...

Candied Lustre "Strawberry Milkshake"
3 coats, no top coat

Candied Lustre "Strawberry Milkshake" has a milky pink base with light pink and bright pink glitter and shards. This completely reminds me of a strawberry milkshake, YUM!!!!

I chose to apply this using 3 coats by itself. I wanted that "milky" feeling to come thru with the manicure...did it work? This applied smoothly to the nail, and gave me no control issues. It did take a while for it to dry, but that is most likely because I used 3 thick coats.

Here are some pics in indirect lighting...

Great!...now I want a milkshake, LOL! :)

Candied Lustre's polishes are $8.00 each and you can find them on their Etsy Shop or you can contact them on their Twitter feed, and on Instagram (#candiedlustre_nails), don't forget to like them on their Facebook page. :)

Barielle's New Summer Collection for 2013: Summer Brights, swatches and review

Happy happy day...actually I should day hoppy, hoppy day since we just had a mild earthquake here in California.  What a way to start the day!  No worries, we Californians are used to a little rock-n-roll :)

Have some pretty Summer Bights to show you today from Barielle.

Barielle" Blue Capri", "Cosmic Kiss", "Pink Flip-Flops", "Lemondrops", and "Sweet Addiction".

Barielle "Blue Capri"
Royal creamy blue
2 coat, no top coat

These pics are slightly over exposed, as it was hard to "dim" the good ole' sun,  and neon's never photograph well for my camera, LOL!

This a creamy bright and nearly perfect royal blue cream.  It is not as bright as Nails Inc. "Baker St." or Sinful "Endless Blue"..think of this as their softer cousin. :)

Barielle "Cosmic Kiss"
Creamy deep pink
2 coats, no top coat

Not too bright and not too pink...just right!

Barielle "Pink Flip-Flops"
Creamy baby pink
2 coats, no top coat

I actually do not mind this pink...SHOCKING!  True...it is PINK and it is LIGHT, but at the same time it is BRIGHT and it looks good on my hands...and I like bright!

Barielle "Lemondrop"
Sun yellow cream
2"ish" coats, no top coat

I love this yellow!!!! Creamy, bright and it applied nicely in 2ish coats.   I say "ish" because the 2nd coat was thick to cover up possible bald spots that usually appear with "yellows" in 2 coats...LOL!

Bareille "Sweet Addiction"
Creme green
2 coats, no top coat

A nice bright green creme, without being too bright! Applied well in 2 coats.

In fact all the colors applied really well, they went on smooth and creamy and overall were easy to use.  None of the colors are unique, but you can't beat the quality of the polish formula and flawless application.

My favorites are "Blue Capri" and "Lemondrop".

Barielle polishes retail for $8.00, and right now you can buy the entire set for $25.  Also they are having a sale now where you can get 10% off your order of $25 or more, 20% off your order of $50 or more, and 30% off your order of $75 or more. PLUS FREE SHIPPING for all 3 OPTIONS till May 31st!!!!

That's a serious deal!

My NCLA inspired nails.

Hello!

I saw a picture of a set of nail wraps by NCLA and thought..."I can do that with polish" :)

My manicure is on the left, the NCLA wraps are on the right...Not bad, if I do say so myself!

NCLA

I wore this manicure while my index nail was growing back from a bad break.  I was hoping it would make the nail seem longer, but I think it did the reverse, LOL!!! Oh well...I still like this idea! :)

Essence "That's What I Mint" and Barry M "Watermelon".

I started of with a nice thick coat of Barry M "Watermelon" and then carefully applied 2 coats of Essence "That's What I Mint", in a nice smooth arc on top, leaving the dark green exposed around the entire edge.

I made sure to continue the smooth arc all the way down the sides, being careful to keep the same amount of dark green showing from underneath.

Barry M "Watermelon" is from the Gelly Hi-Shine Collection earlier this year.  It is a dark evergreen creme that dries to a nice high shine.  It applied perfectly, and almost has a Gel like consistency. 1 coat was all I needed for this manicure.

Essence "That's What I Mint", is from their Colour & Go released for Spring 2013.  It is a light mint green creme with silver and green micro-shimmer. The shimmer is very faint on the nail and more prominent in the bottle.

I will have to try this idea again when my nails grow all the way back, and then see if it makes them seem longer or shorter, until then...Keep It Sweet!
