Barielle "My Week Away"

Hello, I have a pretty pink number for ya today.  Now, you know I am not a fan of pink, but this one is so pretty and has a fabulous green shimmer to it, that I had to share it today.

Barielle "My Week Away"
2 coats, no top coat

This is from Barielle's "Velvets Collection" from Spring 2014.  It is a dusty pink with green shimmer. It applied well in two coats, and dried to a nice shine.  I am not a fan of pinks, but I love hidden shimmer. The green shimmer is not overwhelming, and really sparkles in the light.

This color is feminine and light, and the added green shimmer really makes it stand out in my collection.  This color is still available at Barielle.com HERE

I suggest you get it for this Spring before it's gone

Still in love with your holiday glitters?...wear them!

Happy Monday!

Today I am going to show you how you can still rock your favorite holiday glitters for Spring!  A little glitter goes a long way. :)

Hopefully this post will convince you that you don't have to put away your favorite sparklers from the holidays, and you can give them new life in the SUN!

I'll be using theses four glitters released this past Holiday from Sally Hansen.

Left to Right: "Twinkle Toes-ty", "Fa la la lavender", "Midnight Glitz", and "3, 2, 1derland".

SH "Twinkle Toes-ty" over Color Club "Antiquated".
2 coats over the Color Club, no top coat

I was inspired by the pink flashes of the gold glitter and the rose toned hex glitter, suspended in the clear base.  I love how the rosier base of the Color Club brings it all out!

SH "Fa la la Lavender"  over OPI "I'm Feeling Sashay"
1 coat over the OPI, no top coat

This combo is very "Easter Eggy"" to me, and I love the fact that the glitter gave me so much in just one coat.

This is an awesome combo of lavender glitter and rose pink glitter in a clear base.

Here are some pictures in indirect lighting...

Yep, I love it!

SH "Midnight Glitz" over OPI "Black Onyx".
2 coats over the OPI, no top coat

Here you can see the black glitter in the base :) The base ins a smoky black, not opaque, with black, gold and holographic glitter.

I know what your thinking, black glitter? and spring? But hear me out!

In Spring, once the snow thaws, people tend to be outside more at night admiring the clear night sky and enjoying the warmer weather. This reminds me of the night sky, which is best seen in warmer temperatures with a cool drink in your hand, and some good friends nearby. :)

This is a classic combo, a smooth easy base of black topped with black and holographic glitter of varying sizes, EXCELLENT!

SH "3, 2, 1derland" over Barielle "Lemondrops"
1 coat over the Barielle, no top coat

This combo is my favorite! It totally reminds me of the Spring flowers, yellow sunflowers, and yellow daisies paired with the blue skies of the clear Spring air, LOL :) Blue and green glitter in a clear base, sounds simple, but man what an IMPACT it has on a manicure! LOVE!

Here it is in indirect lighting...

What is your favorite holiday glitter to "revive" in Spring?

Bareille: New Fall Cremes!

Are you ready for some new rich fall cremes?

Barielle has released a new set of cremes for Fall 2013 called "Sophisticated Lady Collection".

5 fabulous new shades for Fall, oh yeah! Fall is my favorite time of year to wear cremes on my nails.  Something about the rich colors, and the smooth finish, reminds me of slipping on a nice warm sweater. :)

Barielle "Edgy"
2 coats, no top coat

Dark rich deep purple creme. This was the first color I put on.  I topped mine with gold flakes, but this color is gorgeous and can easily stand on its own. Two coats is all that is needed for opacity, and you may be able to get away with one coat if you apply it well.

Barielle "Tres Chic"
1 coat, no top coat

A smokey marine blue creme. Yep, one coat was all that was needed.  Unfortunately this color fell a bit short for e, it was simply OK!  I know, I know, not all blues can be AMAZING, and STELLAR, but it has to at least make me smile, this sadly...did not! But it is a one coater, so I smiled a little (no teeth).

Barielle "London High Tea"
2 coats, no top coat

A bright pink creme with shimmer. I'm not a pink fan, but the shimmer was a nice surprise. A nice bright pink to wake up even the sleepiest of sleepy heads of a cold fall day.  Applied well in two coats.

Barielle "Dinner At 8"
2 coats, no top coat

A red creme with pink undertones. This is a nice bright red, nothing new or innovative about this color.  It applied well in two coats and you can always need a red creme in your stash.

Barielle "In Good Taste"
2 coats, no top coat

A mushroom brown creme.  Not my favorite vegetable, but this is a color I can wrap my heart around, LOL! It's gorgeous on and super easy to wear and apply. However, I have several taupe's and nude cremes in my stash, so I may pass this one on to my Mom. After two coats, this polish was ready to wear.

Overall, these colors are not new to the nail world, but Barielle has a great finish and the polish is super easy to apply. They never disappoint when it comes to the formula of their cremes.  You can grab these beauties in a set for $25 or individually for $8 each.   Also don't forget to check out all their other colors at Barielle.com and on their Facebook page.
