The Butter London I did not like...
Yep, you read that right. Today I have a Butter London color, I thought I would love, but I ended up not liking it at all.
It met all the usual "polish criteria"...
1. It looks great in the bottle
2. The online swatches I've seen are fabulous.
3. Other "nail heads" rave about it.
4. It has a great name.
BUT...alas, it was not meant to be once it landed on my hands..LOL.
I give you....
Butter London
"No More Waity Katie"
3 coats
Nope..these pics above are very accurate, but I'm just not "feeling it" on my hands.
with flash..STILL .....Nope...I agree it's gorgeous, and the greyed out lavender base, with the lilac glitter, it is VERY pretty but I just didn't like it on my hands...I don't know..I'm weird! :)
I had to do 3 coats because the formula was a bit "splotchy", but overall it was workable. I took these pics the next day before I took it off.
When I wear a polish it has to make me smile the second I am done, and this one didn't make me smile AT ALL, in fact I kept frowning at it, and wondering if it would "get better"...it didn't LOL :)
So off it goes to a better home. I am packing it up now for a swap, and it will definitely make it's new owner smile, I am sure :)

All Hail The Queen
Thank You, Thank You loyal subjects...LOL..wait are you serious:?....this polish wasn't named for me?...LOL..I'm a nut!
Well I scored this little beauty at my local Planet Beauty. They were having a 20% off everything in the store sale, and if you bought a nail polish you got a Zoya nail color for free.( I picked up Julieanne)
So here she is , "All Hail The Queen", 3 coats.
I love this shimmer in this color, its so subtle, yet it makes a BIG statement in the sunlight. This went on very easy, and only 2 coats were really needed. The formula was smooth and I had no issues.
The base is a taupe creme with undertones of mauve, and this one had my mother drooling over my nails...this is her kind of color.:)..I reminded her that she was not getting my bottle, but I promised her I would hunt down another. :)
It reminded me a lot of Color Club "Lov'em or Leav'em", so I decided to do a little comparison
Both 3 coats: All Hail The Queen, Lov'em or Leav'e'm, All Hail The Queen, Love'm or Leave'm.
Lov'em is another great neutral with holographic glitter but with yellow undertones. Queen's glitter is finer and its base has more mauve undertones. Both are gorgeous and I need them both....nuff said!

Grey Ombre (Gradient) Nails
No matter if you spell it "grey" or "gray"...it's AWESOME!
I've been collecting grey polish on purpose so I could do this post, I love grey polish, I think it's the new neutral in my book, so here ya go...
Thumb: OPI "Suzi skis the Pyrenees" 2 coats
Index: Zoya "Kelly" 2 coats
Middle: Maybelline "Gray-T-Glamour" 2 coats
Ring: China Glaze "Recycle" 2 coats
Pinkie: Butter London "Billy No Mates" 2 coats
Love this gradient effect! I'm so happy with this manicure!
I will definitely be rocking this, this winter. Next...I'm going to start collecting for a blue gradient that ends NAVY!
In fact I may already have what I need for a blue gradient, I'll get back to you on this one. :)
Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

Butter London
A couple months ago there was an offer on Hautelook.com offering Butter London for $5 each, I didn't even blink, I ordered 3 and was on my merry way!!!!

I ordered :
"Billy No Mates"
"Crumpet"
"Teddy Boy"
First up "Billy No Mates"
2 coats
It's a soft super light (almost white) grey creme. Very "spooky pretty".
The formula was nice for such a light color, smooth and easy to place. I hate the square top though, no matter the angle you hold it at...it sucks
It was hard to hold and I tried to remove the top...it did come off.... but not easily!
In looking at this color, it reminded me of a color in the Color Club Rebel Debutante collection.
This is Color club "Who are you wearing" on the index finger and the ring finger. "Billy No Mates" is on the middle finger and the pinkie.
They both have the same "ghostly" look to them, but Billy is grey and "Who are you wearing" is more of a super light nude. I like Billy because it has a blueish quality to it, very different!
"Crumpet"
3 coats
Nude perfection..I loved this color and I am so happy I found a great nude polish!
It is a soft creme nude, with "warm" yellow undertones, so pretty!
I finally found my perfect nude :):)
This color reminded me of ANOTHER color in the rebel debutante collection...
This is "Crumpet" on the index and ring finger, and 2 coats of Color Club "Best Dressed List" on the middle and pinkie.
Best Dressed List has more blue undertones, much "cooler" than Crumpet.
Now I have two great nudes...sweet!
"Teddy Boy"
2 coats
This was deceiving it looks like chocolate, but on the hand...
This was like a mix between a plum creme with a little chocolate...sounds yummy, and OF COURSE this reminded me of two other polishes I had...soooo...
On the index is Finger Paints "Plum Pumps"- 2 coats, on the ring finger Teddy Boy, on the ring finger "Runway Reality"- 3 coats, and on the pinkie Teddy Boy!
The Finger Paints and Butter London colors are close, but none of them are dupes for it.
I really like the Butter London formula. It is not very consistent, some needed 2 coats, some 3 but, all the colors seem like "Classic" colors that offer much more, they are classic with a little kick.
I need more of these!
Have you tried Butter London?
