Catrice "Blue Cara Ciao"...with a KICK!!!!

Hello it's another gloomy day in LA! But I have a super pretty blue that honestly reminds me of the perfect pool water... before everyone jumps in and muddy's it up, LOL!!!!

Catrice "Cara Ciao"
2 coats, topped with 1 coat of Wet n Wild "Party of Five" glitter. :)

Love this blue, ! "Cara Ciao" is a vibrant and smooth Robin egg blue creme. Catrice is my favorite brand from Germany, or from Europe for that matter.  I actually may travel to Germany, just so I can get my hands on this polish line...my luggage would be super heavy on the trip back!!! LOL!

Even though I loved this blue, once I painted my nails with it, I just had to top it with something. Hmmm???

I wanted to make sure that whatever I used, did not cover all the fabulous blue of the Catrice, so Wet n Wild's  "Party of Five" glitter was perfect!

Catrice "Dirty Berry"

Yep, today I have one of my #1 favorite European brands Catrice. I can only get this color thru swaps or customs purchases with nail swappers or nail board pals on Facebook, so when I do get my hands on a new bottle I am over joyed. :):)

I love this European brand, and if I had one European brand polish to choose to bring to the US...it would be Catrice...hands down!

Catrice
"Dirty Berry"
2 coats, with top coat.

"Dirty Berry" is a blue toned periwinkle scattered holographic polish, so pretty... in fact incredibly pretty! I love linear holos like the China Glaze "OMG" Collection and the older OPI DS Line, but scattered holographics are easier to wear and far more pretty, in my opinion. :)

Catrice polish has a great formula, smooth and creamy and easy to apply. 2 coats usually does it, and the "wear time" on this brand is excellent, no chips in 3 days. :)

I love this color, do you?

Electric Purple Polish Comparison

Okay, so I had a request to compare my bottle of Essie "Viva La Vespa" to other electric purple polishes, to see if she has a sister in the group. I heard that Essie "Sexy Divide" is a pretty close comparison, but I do not own it, so I had to work with what I had in my stash...

Left to Right: Rimmel "Violet Metal", Catrice "Poison Me, Poison you", Essie "Viva La Vespa", Illamasqua" Baptiste", "China Glaze "Coconut Kiss", China Glaze "Let's Groove", Diamond Cosmetics "Monarch Masquerade".

Not a bad line up...LOL,  but I think the closest in color and shimmer are....

Left to Right: Rimmel "Violet metal", Illamasqua "Baptiste", Essie "Viva La Vespa", Catrice "Poison Me, Poison You", and China Glaze" Coconut Kiss".

Thumb to Pinkie: Rimmel "Violet metal" (thumb), Illamasqua "Baptiste", Essie "Viva La Vespa", Catrice "Poison Me, Poison You", and China Glaze "Coconut Kiss". 3 coats on all.

Thumb to Pinkie: Rimmel "Violet metal" (thumb), Illamasqua "Baptiste", Essie "Viva La Vespa", Catrice "Poison Me, Poison You", and China Glaze "Coconut Kiss". 3 coats on all.

As you can see, Baptiste is too deep to be a dupe of VLV, the closest matches from my stash would be The Rimmel and Catrice. The Rimmel has the same color base, but the blue flash sets it apart from the Essie.  :)

Essie "Viva La Vespa", has a great "inner fire", that is simply gorgeous on the nail and in person!

Before doing this comparison the Catrice was my favorite, but now I'm loving Baptiste.  This will definitely be my next manicure!

Out of the 5, which is your favorite?

It's been awhile since I wore my favorite European polish brand...CATRICE!!!

I love this brand, and if I had my way , I would seriously own the entire line!

Catrice

I swear "Catrice" has ME wrapped around their finger..LOL. This is a great bright fuchsia cream, with an even brighter pink shimmer. LOVE< LOVE< LOVE!!! I wore this one for...*wait for it*...5 days!

I was having a busy week, and I just could not find the time to do my nails once I got home, and to tel the truth, wearing this for 5 days..DID NOT bother me! :) No chips, no fuss, no problem!

Military Bling!

Military Greens are the definite trend for fall, so when I received Catrice "Sir, Yes Sir!" in a swap, I was so super happy to finally get my hands on it! It is a true military green.

The added bonus was that it was "Catrice", which is my favorite foreign polish brand.

Catrice
"Sir, Yes, Sir!"
2 coats

Catrice "Sir, Yes Sir", and a grey based military green, with yellow undertones. In some lighting it almost looks taupe, but the pics. show exactly how great this color is!!

I decided to a dd a little "military bling" to my ring finger and my thumb with  a base of Orly "Luxe" and 3 coats of China Glaze "Goddess".

"Goddess" has a clear base, with silver and gold micro glitter.  I love how the silver glitter in goddess dries "flat", no bumps, and it really gives the gold bling a nice base, and isn't too "brassy". :)

Orly" Luxe" was the perfect base for "Goddess". "Luxe", dries quickly and one coat was enough to serve as a base for "Goddess", and the color, is "spot on"!!
