Chanel: Graphite

Yep, I did it.  I went to Nordies wanting to get Chanel "Peridot", and instead grabbed "Graphite".  Peridot was a bit too goldie for me and I knew it would show up more metallic foil than green on my skin. I may go back and get it later, but "Graphite" has totally won my heart over.

Chanel "Graphite"
2 coats

Just looking at these pics has me cheesin ear-to-ear!!!!

This applied like a dream, where I placed my brush was exactly where the polish went, it didn't pool or run all over the place, I had absolutely NO "clean-up" with this one!

"Graphite" is a pewter foil with gold, silver  and charcoal grey shimmer.  It dried smooth and boy does it deliver "The Bling".  It seriously sparkles...and I have seen Revlons "Carbonite" in the bottle, and it doesn't even come close in "sparkle" to Chanels "Graphite".

I plan on going back and buying "Carbonite" so I can shoe you a comparison of the two, but I am still waiting on my "nail wheels" to arrive...I swear sometimes I hate when online products ship soooo slow!!! LOL :)

I swear, I half way expect a turtle to ring my door bell and give me my stuff!!!! UGGHHH!!!!

Do you have "Graphite" or "Carbonite"?

Chanel vs. a REAL black pearl

Okay so while I was shopping the day after Christmas, I  (of course) stalked the Chanel polish "Black Pearl" at my local Nordies, and of course with my money burning a hole in my pocket ....as soon as I saw it, I grabbed it and off I ran!!!

Here it is 2 coats, 1 coat of Seche Vite and 0 complaints!!! :)

Gorgeous! This polish made my sad lil' nubbins, VERY VERY happy!  Then I decided to compare Chanel's "Black Pearl", to my black pearl pendant.

Not bad, pretty darn close Chanel..I'm impressed!  The color is a phenomenal blackened grey with a fabulous, yet very slight,  green shimmer, very much like the kind you would find on a black pearl.

This is definitely one to pick up.

In the pics the polish looks more green than it appears on the hand, in person it is VERY close to the actual pearl in the pics.

I am very happy that Chanel did not release another "blackened whatever" color,  that just looks black on the hands, they actually produced something that is truly blackened without being black..BRAVO!

For me this polish was $24.90 (w/tax) just 10 cents shy of my $25 limit...I swear if Chanel decides to go up in price more, I may have to shoot myself, I CAN NOT spend more than $25 on polish, that's insane!

Happy New Year everyone! :)

My First Chanel

Gorgeous! You've seen it before, but here it is again!

Chanel "Paradoxal"2 coats with 1 coat of Seche

Its a great taupe/purple creme with bright purple micro-shimmer...LOVE IT!

Great formula, no problems here!

Chanel you have my allegiance, now all you have to do is make this same combo, but in a navy/grey version with bright blue micro-shimmer, and we are good to go :):)

....and oh yeah, Chanel, can you lower your price...I have a $25 polish limit and you are dangerously close..Thanks ;)
