Purple Mix!

I wanted something with sparkle, with the color purple and this is what I used...

China Glaze "Spontaneous", OPI "Push and Shove" and Color Club "Too Violet".

So I applied two coats of the China Glaze which applied very well, then I applied two coats of the Color Club. I had to thin the color club since it is an older color, and bit clumpy. Then, using the very delicate method of application I did before HERE, I applied the OPI.

All the polishes wore well EXCEPT for the ...Color Club :(  It chipped the next day.  I was prepared for the OPI to chip, but nope, it wore very well.  I topped all the colors with my usual two coats, one coat of OPI "Top Coat" and then one coat of "Seche Vite".

The Color Club was a bit bumpy and still felt gritty after the two coats of top coat, in the future I'll remember to use my thicker top coats :)

As usual...Keep It Sweet!

Skittles!

Since I have skittles on my blog wallpaper, I decided to show you a fun skittle manicure I did over the holidays.  I used 3 colors from the China Glaze Holiday 2013 Happy Holiglaze Collection.

Left to Right: China Glaze "Mingle with Kringle", "Bells Will Be Blinging" and "So Blue Without You".

I wore this manicure for 6 days, 6 DAYS!  I think that is a record for me!  I loved this manicure, and it lasted a long time.  After 6 days I did have tip wear, as you can see in the pics, but nothing I couldn't live with, since this manicure sparkled and shined like a CHAMP!

All the polishes were super easy to apply, the gold and blue went on easy in 2 coats. For the glitter, I layered it over the blue, so that removal would be easier.

"Mingle with Kringle" is a gold foil, applied easily in two coats.  "So Blue Without You" is a bright blue foil, I love blue foils and this one did not disappoint.

"Bells Will Be Blinging" is silver, gold and blue glitter in a clear base, with only one coat this glitter is easily distributed on the nail.  The glitter and the blue foil made a great pair!  I topped this manicure off with OPI "Top Coat" and then Seche Vite "Fast Dry Top Coat".  These two top coats are my secret weapon to making a manicure last super long :)

Stay tuned for more fun manicures!

China Glaze: Monsters Ball Halloween 2013 Collection, selected swatches and review

I almost forgot I had these swatched and ready to go, LOL!  I have been sooooo busy planning and preparing for my trip next month, that I have fallen behind in my post, bare with me :)

China Glaze "Howl You Doin' "
2 coats with top coat

LOVE! Gorgeous! Deep wine purple gel-like base(crelly) with indigo and copper glitters, and shards. Not the easiest to apply, a bit uneven at times, but I got it all covered in 2 coats.  It dries a bit "matte", so I applied top coat for my pics.

China Glaze "Bat My Eyes"
2 coats with top coat

Not bad! Black jelly base with gold and copper multi-shaped and sized glitter. I applied top coat, so you can see how much this beauty shines.   Can you see the copper bars?

This went on well in two coats, super easy to apply and wear, I really like it! It does dry a bit bumpy, but a good layer of top coat can fix that. :)

China Glaze "Boo-Gie Down"
2 coats, over a bare nail, no top coat

I couldn't figure out what to layer this one over, so I decided to go NAKED! LOL! A clear base with black, white and copper glitter, applied well in 2 coats.

Hexs, bars and dots...OH MY!  This polish screams "HALLOWEEN", but it's not for me. I'll make sure it finds a nice home somewhere else, LOL!

There are other colors in the collection, the preview post is HERE.  Out of these, my favorites are "Howl You Doin' " and "Bat My Eyes", theses are perfect for Halloween!

China Glaze Monsters Ball will be available in October 2013 at fine salons and beauty supply stores.
