Pretty pink holo for the holidays, Jindie Nails "Just Claws"

Jindie Nail "Just Claws" was formerly "Mrs. Claws"; from their 2012 Santa Claws Collection.

Yep, I'm wearing a pink polish, LOL!

Jindie Nails
Just Claws
2 coats, with top coat

"Just Claws" is a medium berry pink holographic polish. Went on perfectly in 2 coats, no dragging, no bald spots, just 2 layers of holographic perfection!  :) I am not a "pink fan", but I do like medium, dark and neon pinks.  I know that sounds like almost all pinks, but I still turn my nose up at most of them, LOL...what can I say...I'm a blue girl!

The holographic pigment in this is both linear and scattered.  I prefer scattered holographics since they sparkle in all light, where linears tend to shine only in natural lighting. But honestly, if it is a holographic I WANT IT..ALL OF THEM...don't judge! :)

I wore this for 3 days, no chips.  This polish was gorgeous on the hands, and it made me feel like a pretty pretty princess, LOL!

You can grab this beauty at Jindie Nails, HERE.

L.A. Girl 3D Effects Hologram Nail Polish: Select Swatches

Today I want to share with you my pictures of best drugstore holographic polish offered.  Originally there are 8 in the collection, but I only choose to buy 3 of the colors, since some of the other colors are dupes of some Zoya holographic polishes from the Holiday 2012 collection.

Left to Right: LA Girls "Electric Coral", "Teal Dimension", and "Brilliant Blue".

"Electric Coral"
3 coats no top coat

"Electric Coral" is a bright spring time coral orange holographic glitter.  This is a scattered glitter so it sparkles in low light and bright light.  This applied easily and dries to a smooth finish.

"Teal Dimension"
2 coats, no top coat

"Teal Dimension" is a deep teal base with holographic scattered glitter.   This beauty applied nicely, and was smooth to the touch once it dried.

"Brilliant Blue"
2 coats, no top coat

"Brilliant Blue", is definitely BRILLIANT! This is a deep royal blue with holographic glitter is AMAZING!  Easy to apply, dries smoothly and ITS BLUE! I'm in love!

I've seen blog pics of the other colors, and they are all just as fabulous as these 3 colors.

These beauties can be found at your local Rite Aid drugstore, but if you don"t have a Rite Aid or missed out on grabbing these earlier this Spring.  I have a treat, next week I'll be giving away the ENTIRE set...OH YEAH!  Check back next Monday for your chance to win the entire set.

China Glaze "Hologlam" 2013: Selected Swatches and Review

China Glaze knew how much we lobe holographic polishes so they released a collection this year to appease our appetites.  The Hologlam Collection was released this Spring and features 12 new holographic and electric polishes.

Some of these I received from China Glaze, and the others I purchased. However, 3 colors I did not care to purchase because they were too similar to other holo's I already had, "Get Outta My Space" (powdered violet), and "Not In This Galaxy" (bright, warm coral), "Don't Be A Luna-Tic" (turquoise aqua).

"Astro-Hot"
soft, baby pink
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"Infra Red"
warm, magenta pink
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"When Stars Collide"
warm maroon
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"OMG A UFO"
warm, moss green
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"Sci-Fly By"
light, silver blue
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"Take A Trek"
cool, denim blue
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"Strap On Your Moonboots"
midnight sky blue
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"Galactic Gray"
warm, gunmetal
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

"Cosmic Dust"
silver metal
2 coats, regular base coat no top coat

So which of these colors turns your head?  My favorites and the most original are "Strap On Your Moonboots",  and "When Stars Collide".  These 2 colors are the most unique in the big bad world of holographic colors. :P

All of them applied the same. The first coat applies well, it does give some bald spots and possible unevenness, but this is all easily taken care of n the second coat.  The second coat should be applied very carefully over the first coat.

Some gals prefer to apply a second coat of base coat over the first coat of color, to get a smoother application, but I found that if you apply the second coat with a light and gentle hand, and make sure you have a nice amount of polish on the brush, you can get a flawless manicure in just two coats.

These polishes can be worn with top coat and it will not diminish the holographic effect, however like most holographic polishes, these will chip fairly easily. :(

Soooo, did you grab any of these colors? which ones are our favorites?

Keep It Sweet!

Color Club Holos!

Yes, I finally got my hands on the holographic colors from Color Club, so instead of breaking up the swatches into 2 post, I'm putting them ALL right here...are you ready?

First up, the Holo's from Winter 2012.

I photographed the bottle shots with as little sun or flash as possible, so that you can see the true color of the polish, and not be blinded by the holographic BLING!

Trust me these babies are full of holographic spectrum and flash!

"Harp On It"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Silver holo

"Cloud Nine"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Light lavender holo

"Halo-graphic"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Soft pink holo

"Angel Kiss"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Light aqua green holo

"Cherubic"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Tan/Nude holo

"Blue Heaven"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Light blue holo

Spring 2013

"Beyond"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Black/Charcoal holo

"Cosmic Fate"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Copper/Peach holo

"Kismet"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Lime green holo

"Over The Moon"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Bright blue holo

"Miss Bliss"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Fuchsia holo

"Eternal Beauty"
2 coats, with a regular base coat, no top coat
Purple holo

What can I say? They all applied perfectly, dried perfectly and did not require anything "high maintenance" be done to them, to apply nicely.  :)

I personally love the second set more than the first set, because the colors are more vibrant, but the bling on them all is the same... BLINDING!

I've already worn one of them as a full manicure, and I applied my usual top coat "OPI Top Coat" and then "Seche Vite", and it did not mess with the Rainbow spectrum at all.

Again, I purposefully choose a day that was not "super sunny", so that you could get a good mix of the "BLING" and the "COLOR" :)
