He made the Bantam Gold playoffs...

Yippee! My nephews team, the Wildcats, made the playoffs, and as luck would have it his second playoff game is at my old high school. Now my old high school was no "football powerhouse  while I was there, so I hope my nephews team has better luck, than we did, LOL!!!

Here are 2 quick manicures I wore for his past games, their colors are dark blue, gold and white.   Emphasis on QUICK, LOL!!!

First up...

China Glaze "Ultamate Holiday" and NCLA "Venice Beach Vixen".

2 quick coats of "Ultamate Holiday", which dried quick and wasn't too gritty. Then I used one of my art brushes and painted blue squiggly lines down the accent nail. I wish my rush was thinner, so that the lines were more distinct, but I still like the contrast of the blue and gold :). Finished the manicure with 2 coats of top coat and it was game time!!!! :)

Check out the crazy sparkle of the China Glaze. This was an ULTA exclusive in 2011.

Next...

Barry M "Navy", and OPI Top Coat "Gold Lang Syne".

The Barry M, is an amazing navy blue shimmer that is perfectly pigmented and rich, and is almost opaque in 1 coat, so pretty!.  Then, I topped it with the OPI Top Coat, which is the perfect gold top coat, 1 coat of gold and that's all it took to take this manicure from pretty to FANTASTIC!

I loved this manicure and it caught everyone's eye, so pretty! :)

I don't know if I have enough time this morning to dream up another manicure, but if I do, I'll make sure to let you see it next week. Until then...GO WILDCATS and I love you NATE!.

Keep It Sweet!

Woo Hoo, let's get this party started!

First up...

"Mulholland Maneater"
 2 coats, no top coat

"There is something mysterious about Mulholland Drive. Sneaking its’ way along the spine of the Hills, you can see the never-ending ocean of city lights to both sides, huge gated mansions and a dangerously curvy road that bisects the mountains. Opulent, rich, dark purple, hitting the nail on the head!"

"Pick Me Up At Melrose Place"
2 coats, no top coat

"Hip stores, high-end restaurants and hot nights. A lot is happening around Melrose. And lots more with the rich bright purple that screams just loud enough for the right kind of attention."

This bright beauty dries a bit matte, so I decided to add their base coat/top coat "Gloss It" on to, 1 coat!

Awesome-sauce!... and what's even more awesome?..This...

Sweet! No critters were hurt making this, and it is Big 3 free!

"Miss Sunset Strip"
2 coats, no top coat

"Your little black dress: absolutely flawless. Your six inch heels: sharp enough to cut through the velvet rope. You don’t spread gossip. You’re it! Flaunt in the flashing lights with this thick large flake purple glitter.
Can also be worn over our nail wraps for an extra bang!"
I decided to try this beauty on top of "Mulholland Maneater" and "Pick Me Up At Melrose Place".
2 coats over "Mulholland Maneater"

This is my next manicure, I swear!! LOVE IT!!!!

Serious "drool fest" over HERE!!!!!

1 coat over "Pick Me Up At Melrose Place"

2 coats over "Pick Me Up At Melrose Place"

"Venice Beach Vixen"
2 coats, no top coat

"Full of eccentric energy, expressions of individuality, striving on non-conformity and floating in an ocean of blue. Welcome to Venice Beach. To stand out here, you need something with a little extra pop. Et voila: Our electric blue crème kicks ass!"
"Malibu Beach Babe"
 2 coats, no top coat

"Well, driving along Pacific Coast Highway, breathing the fresh ocean air, watching the waves crash on one side and having lush mountains as a backdrop on the other, we kind of understand why people are living it up here. This ultra rich teal créme sums the whole scenery up pretty well."

"Hollywood Hills Hot Number"
2 coats, no top coat

"The big full moon, sparkling like a disco ball over the city that is wrapped in a warm and comfortable evening breeze. The night filled with excitement and anticipation. You are lighting up the room as soon as the door opens. Glasses drop. The champagne bottles  pop. Here is a large flake multi color glitter that is special. Just like you!
Can also be worn over our nail wraps for some extra credit!"
Here it is again with 2 coats, over "Venice Beach Vixen".

Yum, and I have to say this dried super smooth, no funky edges of glitter popping up!
"West Hollywood It-Girl"
 3 coats, no top coat

"Party, party and another party. Then a quick change of outfits and now this striking burgundy cherry glitter is really happening. On to the next one! It’s not your fault that you’re so popular!"
So pretty, I love super fine glitters. Not only do they dry smoothly, but they sparkle  evenly, which I happen to like. This dried matte as well, so I added one coat of "Gloss It",and Wallah....

Whew! So...what do you think of the "new kids on the block"?
The formula on the cremes was butter smooth, and the brush made application mess free, no control issues, no wonky bristles. They all dried nicely, and with a nice shine, except for "Pick Me Up At Melrose Place", what that lacks in shine, it delivers in "electric color"..besides that's what top coat is for :).
The glitters are amazing, they all dry with very little texture left behind, so not a lot of top coat will be needed to make these smooth as glass.  The "go to" glitters for me are "West Hollywood It-Girl" and "Miss Sunset Strip"..oh yeah, that one is a major keeper! Love it!
Overall the price is a bit on the high side at $16.00, but I love the application and the colors, and I love the names! Maybe it's because I call Los Angeles my home, but it's nice to have polishes named after places I see everyday :)
Check out their line here on their site NCLA, I know I'll be visiting soon to pick up "Santa Monica Shore Thing", and " Rush Hour"..oh yeah!

Stay Tuned in the coming weeks, for my review on their nail wraps, they are also $16.00, but in each pack you get enough for 2 manicures! Nice, very nice!
