My First Sponge Gradient

Hello! Today I will be sharing my first gradient manicure. EEeekkkk! :)

I was inspired by a manicure I saw on Lucy's Stash ,where the awesome and talented Becky, from A Polish Addict, did it using the same 2 Zoya colors!

I used Nfu-Oh #52, Zoya "Charla" and Zoya "Zuza"

I started with a base color coat of Zuza, then with a makeup sponge I painted a line each of Zuza, next to Charla. applied it with a couple dabs.

Then I followed-up and applied the Nfu-Oh flakie directly to the tips. :) Unfortunately you can barely see the flakies, but the dark base of the Nfu-Of still complimented the manicure nicely.

I loved this manicure and the colors were awesome!  My nails were way too long for me, so after this manicure, I had to cut them down, not a lot but enough to operate like a normal human being, LOL! Check out my thumb nail...

Eeekkk, it needed it's own zip code :)  After all my layers were done, I topped with with my normal 2 coats of top coat and I was all done.

Keep it Sweet!

  8. Great color choices - and congrats on doing your first sponge gradient - kind of easy uh? Even I can do it! I have tried it using a few different techniques as far as how to apply the gradient...going to next try using those disposable eye shadow sponge tip applicators - just saw that one this past week. Seems like I will have a lot more control using those.
