Wingin It Lacquer "Liquid Silver" and "Prom Night"

I have 2 more colors from Wingin It Lacquer, and can I just add ...T.G.I.F!

Okay now back to the polish! :)

Wingin It Lacquer "Liquid Silver" and "Prom Night".  I wore these a couple weeks ago when my nails were growing out, and these glitters were perfect for making my short nails look FAB! :)

First Up...

Wingin It Lacquer "Liquid Silver"
2 coats with top coat

Bottle Shot

"Liquid Silver" is from her Tank Girl Collection and is named for the club where Tank Girl sings and dances while saving her sister.  This polish consist of a clear base with tons of holographic silver and regular silver glitter.  I love this just as 2 coats on it's own, next time I wear it I may layer 2 coats over a grey or silver base color.   This glitter was smooth and easy to apply. After 2 coats, it was thick enough where 3 coats may have made it too thick. Two coats was good for me.  :)

Wingin It Lacquer "Prom Night"
2 coats, with top coat

Bottle Shot

"Prom Night" is a shimmery dark pink tinted jelly loaded with holographic pink, silver, and burgundy glitters in different sizes and shapes. This applied easy too, great smooth formula.  I love hoe there is an added shimmer to the polish, it makes it very easy to wear on it's own.

I also LOVE the squares!  I will wear this next over a nice dark rose creme, to really give it the depth you see in the bottle. YEP!

You can purchase Wingin It Lacquer on their Etsy Shop and you can contact them on their Facebook page. Their polishes are $9.00 a bottle and they also make Nail Lacquer Jewelry too :)

OPI Launches the San Francisco Collection
For Fall/Winter 2013

San Francisco by OPI brings street chic style with West Coast flair to nails and toes for Fall/Winter 2013. This new collection features a palette ranging from sky and sea-colored hues of blues and gray to reds, burgundies and browns inspired by some of the city’s most iconic elements – Chinatown, the Golden Gate bridge and the Embarcadero. This fall mélange is mixed with texture, seen in three new Liquid Sand™nail lacquers in earthy hues of taupe, blue and gray: It’s All San Andreas’s FaultWharf! Wharf! Wharf! and Alcatraz…RocksLiquid Sand lacquers dry to a textured, matte finish, infused with reflective sparkle.
“To me, the women of San Francisco and the city itself really epitomize today’s multifaceted beauty consumer,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director.  “San Francisco offers a European flair with distinct West Coast attributes. These elements inspired a collection of urban chic nail lacquer shades, thanks to the sophisticated combination of high fashion and eclectic street style.
“With twelve colors ranging from moody grays and blues to garnet and ruby jewel tones, these lacquers are designed to accessorize fall’s hottest looks, from military details to winter whites,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “On fall runways, models were seen wearing luxurious textures from head to toe. The three new Liquid Sand nail lacquers incorporate the texture trend through nails, with rich matte finishes in colors to complement the season’s fashion.”

Who doesn't want to be a BOND BABE?

This past Spring OPI launched 6 new liquid sand colors named after iconic Bond Women.

Today, I have "Bond Babe" swatches!

My mother is a huge fan of the James Bond movies, Sean Connery being her favorite, and I was forced to watch them all, (some with her hands over my eyes during suggestive scenes).  So when it comes to Bond, I've seen them all, repeatedly, and thus I can be quit critical.  Bond Babes should be smart, hot, skilled and not completely helpless....I mean they can not completely upstage BOND himself, LOL! :)

Of these "Babes". ...which Bond Babe is your favorite?

OPI "Solitaire"
2 coats, no top coat

An ethereal white shimmer sand with silver glitter. This polish is a keeper, and I have already used it for several nail art manicures. But the stark white sand texture, GRABS dirt and is hard to keep "white" without topcoat.

Pretty and clean, kind of like the Bond Babe herself...well at least until James got his hands on her. LOL! She was an okay gal, a bit too helpless for my taste.

Here is a pic in indirect light...

OPI "Pussy Galore"
3 coats, no top coat

It doesn't get much "pinker" than this :) This is what I call a 1950's pink, light, feminine and VERY PINK!  It has an added shimmer to it that makes the sand texture really shine. I have to admit, I am not a fan of the color, nor the name. But, I did love the Bond Babe, she was cunning, smart, feisty and awesome!

Here is a shot in indirect lighting...

OPI "Tiffany Case"
2 coats, no top coat

I love this blue, a nice sea true blue sand with added silver glitter.  I have to admit, this Bond gal is sorta forgettable for me, LOL. When I heard the name I thought, "Which one was she?"...but when I saw her picture, I immediately remembered her...not a fan.

Here is a pic in indirect lighting...

OPI "Vesper"
2 coats no top coat

I was not prepared to like this but oh how I love this vampy babe!  This is a deep purple based polish with added black sand.  I like the fact that the texture and the base are different colors. Now, I love this polish, but this Bond Babe can GO! Not a fan, not. a. fan. at. all! NOPE!

Here is a pic in indirect lighting...

Here are pics of it at 1 coat...

Still.....AWESOME!

OPI "Honey Ryder"
2 coats, no top coat

This is a soft antiqued gold sand, brassy and pretty! Very much like the Bond Babe. She was awesome, and the entrance out of the water...ICONIC!

Here is a pic in indirect lighting...

and last but certainly not least...

OPI "Jinx"
2 coats, no top coat

OH YEAH! I am in love with this bright red coral sand polish with added golden shimmer. The Bond Babe was the same, bright and sunny, quick on her toes and when she came out of the water?...she had all the sparkle of this polish...and then some!

Here is a pic in indirect lighting...

Check out that added shimmer, AMAZING!

All of these, as do most textured polish wear very well, and tend to last longer than your standard polish.  Remember, OPI Liquid Sands are supposed be worn without top coat. But, I plan on wearing "solitaire" with a matte top coat,  just so I can keep it white :)

So, I ask you...which Bond Babe is your favorite?

Mash-Up: Toucan Touch This 24 Carrots Bold!

Yeah I know...I'm pushin it with that "Mash-Up" title, LOL!

Today I have a bright combo I wore a couple weeks ago.

KBShimmer "Toucan Touch This" and "24 Carrot Bold".

I applied 3 coats of "24 Carrot Bold" and 4 coats of "Toucan Touch This" to the middle 2 nails. I applied 2 coats of top coat to the entire manicure, the it was perfectly smooth. This manicure lasted 4 days, with very small chips to my right thumb nail only. :)

"24 Carrot Bold" Matte is a red-orange polish that is a stunning summer color.  This orange polish has a gold micro flake that shines in the light.  This color is super pigmented, so 2 coats is usual, but because I painted my layers thinner, I used 3 coats.

"Toucan Touch This" has a chartreuse green base, with gold, green, teal, blue, and orange hex glitters, some holographic. Micro teal, orange and blue bars are accented by micro orange glitters. I love how tropical this polish is.

It reminds me of birds and Brazil, even though I have never been to Brazil, but I have seen birds, LOL! Bright greens with oranges, blues and golds, gorgeous! I did thin coats, because I did not want the glitter to look clumpy, so 4 coats was perfect for "unclumped" opacity. :)

I loved how bright this manicure was.  Sometimes I'm in the mood for a crazy, LOUD manicure and this was the perfect manicure for my mood.  Of course this manicure attracted a lot of attention...it looks like I have a toucan on my hands, LOL :)

You can grab KBShimmer colors HERE and you can follow them on Facebook as well.
