KBShimmer Summer Polish Line Set For Release June 1st, 2013

KBShimmer is excited to announce the addition of 9 new colors to their 3-Free glitter polish line and an expansion to their nail prep line.  Owner Christy Rose says “With warm weather and sandals popping up, June is the perfect time for bright, bold colors and patriotic themes to celebrate a fun and exciting summer.”
The summer lineup includes one glitter top coat, two glitter crellys in a white base and six bright, bold polishes, two in a matte finish.  KBShimmer will also be expanding their nail care line to include two scented cuticle oils and liquid nail prep. “Our new line was created to play off the bolder palette of summer, some inspired by the 80’s and 90s, but also to celebrate the patriotic season. One of our polishes plays off the color of the year, Emerald Green, and will ease people into the summer while two others were inspired by the fall 2013 Pantone colors Koi and Vivacious. Both will make for an easy transition through the summer and into the fall.  We are also excited to unveil two scented cuticle oils in an easy-applicator pen.  We hope to inspire and motivate people to go out in the sun and show off their nails!” says Rose.

Candied Lustre "Sugar Rush"

Hiya, Hiya, Hiya! Today I have another sweet treat for you! You all know ho much I love candy and how much I love white based glitter polishes, well this post combines those 2 things into ONE!

Candied Lustre's "Sugar Rush"

I applied 3 coats of "Sugar Rush" over OPI "Alpine Snow"- Matte.

Bottle Shot

"Sugar Rush" is a sheer white base with shredded matte glitter in red, yellow, blue, purple, and pink. It's like FUNFETTI for nails! It applied perfectly, my only issue is that I need a bigger bottle. :)

Because I was working with a mini bottle, I used 2 coats instead of 3, because I wanted to make sure I applied as much "FUN" to my nails as possible, LOL! :)

Also, the glitter pieces do not "stand up" on the nails, so it dries smooth with no "curling glitter issues or sharp pieces.  After my usual 2 coats of top coat, I was perfectly smooth and ready to go have FUN!

So far, I have worn this for 2 days and I have NO chips, and I also have NO desire to change my manicure.  I love this polish!  Stay tuned because next week I will be showing 2 more colors from their polish line, until then...Keep It Sweet!

A full sized bottle is $8.00 and you can find it on their Etsy Shop or you can contact them on their Twitter feed, and on Instagram (#candiedlustre_nails), don't forget to like them on their Facebook page. :)

Wingin It Lacquer "Rock-N-Roll Cowgirl"

Hey there!
I have a great review for you today, of an indie nail polish company called Wingin It Lacquer. They sent over a bunch of great polishes, but I could not decide which one to wear first so I piled them on the floor...closed my eyes and chose...."Rock-N-Roll Cowgirl"..Woo Hoo!!!

I used 2 coats of OPI "Sparrow Me The Drama", and then 2 coats of Wingin It "Rock-N-Roll Cowgirl".

Bottle Shot

Wingin It "Rock-N-Roll Cowgirl" is a pink jelly with tons of shimmer.  This includes different sized glitter in brown, pink, and gold.  Because of the jelly base, I decided to pair this with a sold creme base color to show off the glitter.

RNRC applied perfectly.  It was smooth and easy to control, and I did NOT have to fish for glitter, LOL.   I did add a couple drops of thinner to my mini-bottle, just so I could make sure the glitter spread across the nail evenly.  Overall it was amazing, and it dried pretty smooth! I applied my usual 2 coast of top coat and it was perfect... No issues.

We all know I do not like "pinks", and I usually only tolerate it in small doses, but this combo of pink, brown and gold really makes me happy!

Here are some pics in indirect light...

I have so many more colors to review from Wingin It, so stay tuned!

You can purchase Wingin It Lacquer on their Etsy Shop and you can contact them on their Facebook page. Their polishes are $9.00 a bottle and they also make Nail Lacquer Jewelry too :)

Dermelect "Renegade" and "Moxie": Review

Here is a cute little duo sent directly from Dermelect.
I decided to wear them together, since the two colors worked so well with one another. :)

"  'ME' is the first peptide infused nail color treatment, strengthens weak, brittle nails, restores flexibility, helps resist chipping and splitting, superior extended wear, water and detergent resistant, UV protected, DBP, Toluene & Formaldehyde free and cruelty free (no animal testing, ever!)"

Here is Deremelect "Moxie" and "Renegade", and they make a perfect pair!

"Moxie" is a a plucky pink creme. It applied nicely, but I need 3 coats to eliminate any bald spots.  "Renegade" is a rebellious jade creme, and I am in love with this color. It applied perfectly in 2 coats.

While the manicure was still wet, I used my largest dotting tool and applied alternating dots on each nail. FUN, SIMPLE and CUTE! :)

"HOW IT WORKS
The first coat instantly bonds to the nail, while the second fuses with the base coat to create a flexible web of color that resists chipping and improves brittleness.  The ME colors combine fast drying, high shine and a healthy ‘green’ dose of vitamins, peptides and moisture, offering a colorful solution to the contemporary woman’s beauty concern—aging nails and hands. "

Overall the polish applies well, goes on smoothly and dries to a nice shine.  The brush is nice and I love the square/rectangle bottles. Hopefully this brand will branch out into different finishes and textures soon :)

You can get these 2 beauties at Dermelect.com, each bottle retails for $14.00, also can be purchased at high-end apothecaries, beauty boutiques, salons, spas, medi-spas and doctors offices.

L.A. Girl 3D Effects Hologram Nail Polish: Select Swatches

Today I want to share with you my pictures of best drugstore holographic polish offered.  Originally there are 8 in the collection, but I only choose to buy 3 of the colors, since some of the other colors are dupes of some Zoya holographic polishes from the Holiday 2012 collection.

Left to Right: LA Girls "Electric Coral", "Teal Dimension", and "Brilliant Blue".

"Electric Coral"
3 coats no top coat

"Electric Coral" is a bright spring time coral orange holographic glitter.  This is a scattered glitter so it sparkles in low light and bright light.  This applied easily and dries to a smooth finish.

"Teal Dimension"
2 coats, no top coat

"Teal Dimension" is a deep teal base with holographic scattered glitter.   This beauty applied nicely, and was smooth to the touch once it dried.

"Brilliant Blue"
2 coats, no top coat

"Brilliant Blue", is definitely BRILLIANT! This is a deep royal blue with holographic glitter is AMAZING!  Easy to apply, dries smoothly and ITS BLUE! I'm in love!

I've seen blog pics of the other colors, and they are all just as fabulous as these 3 colors.

These beauties can be found at your local Rite Aid drugstore, but if you don"t have a Rite Aid or missed out on grabbing these earlier this Spring.  I have a treat, next week I'll be giving away the ENTIRE set...OH YEAH!  Check back next Monday for your chance to win the entire set.

Gold Finger

Hellooooo, I know it has been a while sine I've posted a manicure, or collection.  I suffered a really bad nail break on both of my index fingers. So for the past 2 weeks, I've been giving my nails the necessary TLC, to encourage nail growth and health. So they are BACK! Woo Hoo!!

Here is a great manicure I just had to show you!

BB Couture "Zuma Wave Rider" and Ruby Wing "Sunflower".

BB Couture "Zuma Wave Rider" is a blue creme, but at time is has an almost periwinkle creme tone, and don't forget a very slight shimmer to it to. It's very pretty, but it was a bit thin and needed 3 coats for full coverage.

Ruby Wing "Sunflower" is a fabulous pale gold glitter polish that changes to a bright gold in the sun.  These pics are in the sun.  I've reviewed this polish before, but I had to wear it again. 2 coats and it was perfect, and it dries so smooth, it's a gem to cover with top coat.  I love this polish!

I'm really liking the glittery accent finger, and this gold finger goes with everything!

I have so many polishes to wear and review, I don't even know where to start....stay tuned, there is a ton more to come :)

Happy Friday and Keep It Sweet!
