UCLA 38-U$C 28...UCLA BRUINS TRIUMPH!

Yes, yes, the biggest cross-town rivalry in Southern California was played today, and my UCLA Bruins, triumphed over U$C...AMAZING Game!

Of course I did a true blue BRUIN manicure for the event!

I used...

Nicole by OPI "I Sea You and Raise You", "Sephora by OPI "Havana Dreams", "NVL Custom "Bruin 4 Life", and China Glaze "Lemon Fizz".

I did 2 coats of each of the cremes and then 1 good coat of my glitter! Topped it with 2 coats of top coat and that was all I needed.

2 coats of top coat were not needed since the glitter is super smooth, but I wanted my manicure to be indestructible for game day!

The $OPI, gave me serious issues, it was thin and watery, but I was diligent and made it work.

This NOPI was amazing, 2 coats and it was perfect, smooth formula great pigmented color, Love it!

This China Glaze is one of the best light yellows I have. Most yellow polishes are notorious for having "streaking" and "spotting" issues, and this is no exception, but it is better than most.

Yes this glitter was the best "dream/idea" I ever had.  I love that NVL could create this for me, it's perfect!!!!

UCLA Manicure

I spent the day on Saturday with my niece at UCLA.  She wanted to see the campus and she knew I was more than willing to take her. :)

I was going to do a french manicure in the blue and yellow colors of my Alma mater, but my manicure took too long to dry so I opted to do something else.

Here is what I used:

Base: 3 coats of Sephora by OPI "Havana Dreams"
Yellow Dots: China Glaze "Happy Go Lucky" and "Lemon Fizz"
Blue Dots:  OPI "Absolutely Alice"
Top Coat: OPI Top Coat and Seche Vite.

The SOPI, was streaky and difficult and required 3 coats and took forever to dry.  The dots were issue and I had no issues there.  I used 3 different sized dotting tools, because i want the dots to be different in circumference.  I always strive to put y dots in a nice pattern, but it never works out for me, thus I always end up doing random dots :)

Of course I was a dork and forgot my camera, so I can't show you any wonderful shots of my niece and I at the Bruin Bear, I had to wait and take these shots once I got home , I'm such a dork..LOL!

Just imagine that the 2 people you see lounging by the fountain are my and my niece..LOL :)

But here is a pic of "A" Bear......

I won some fimo canes in a giveaway and I've been dieing to use the bear..LOL, it look kinda out of place, but I loved it!

Guest apperance by ..My Niece

Every once in a while my niece comes over and ask for her nails to be done...usually she picks purple (her favorite color), but every once in awhile she throws me a bone and asks for something different...LOL

This time she requested a color to match her softball teams colors.  Her league mimics real softball college teams, and her new team are the UCLA Bruins. :):):)

Of course I had NO PROBLEM doing this manicure because I am an alum of UCLA and I LOVE my alma mater!! Woo hoo!!!

2 coats of $OPI "Havana Dreams" and the dots are China Glaze "Happy Go Lucky"

My niece really wanted to use my konading stamp with the "zebra" print, but I need a more pigmented yellow polish than my China Glaze to do it. Instead, I convinced her to do dots.  I also used the "sticky sandwich" method, at her request.

I'm sure she had the cutest manicure out of all her teammates :) GO BRUINS!!!!!
