OPI's Oz The Great and Powerful L.E. Nail Lacquers, Including Liquid Sand, Swatches

Here are my swatches of the "Oz The Great and Powerful" nail lacquers from OPI.  I know the movie is already debuted in theaters, but the polishes are still around. :)

“OPI is very excited to take this fantastical journey with Disney,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director.  “Inspired by the magic of Oz The Great and Powerful, this SoftShades collection captures the whimsy seen in the film, from glittery shades packed with white, gold and silvery iridescent confetti – Lights of Emerald City, When Monkeys Fly! andWhich is Witch? – to soft neutrals in white, beige and pink – Don’t Burst My Bubble, Glints of Glinda and I Theodora You."
“The new Liquid Sand nail lacquer – What Wizardry is This? – featuresOPI’s groundbreaking technology for a textured, matte finish infused with reflective sparkle,” adds Weiss-Fischmann.  “This rich taupe hue was designed for James Franco’s character, the great Wizard of Oz, and is sure to make a bold statement this spring.”
With a mix of soft crème and warm glitter shades, the line is ideal for layering to create rich, complex looks. In addition to the Liquid Sand nail lacquer in What Wizardry is This?

"Don't Burst My Bubble"
2 coats, no top coat

Whisper pink jelly polish.  This is not meant to be opaque, and is supposed to be semi-opaque on the nail. Applied well in 2 coats.

"Lights Of Emerald City"
2 coats, over "Don't Burst My Bubble"

In indirect light...

Even better with the glitter on top. This is a light white tinted clear base with white squares and opalescent squares. I really like this on top of "Don't Burst My Bubble". Awesome!

"Glints Of Glinda"
2 coats, no top coat

Wispy sheer beige.  This is a personal favorite, not to pink, not too peach...just right for my hands!  If I were to wear a sheer wispy color, this would be it. ;)

"When Monkeys Fly"
2 coats over "Glints Of Glinda", no top coat

Clear base with silver and gold glitter.  Yep, this beauty has "curling glitter" or "taco glitter", where the glitter does not lie flat and curves up on the nail.  Here are some close up pics.

Not a fan :(

"I Theodora You"
2 coats, no top coat

Sheer pink creme. I think this may be opaque n 3 coats, but in 2 coats you can still see the nail line. Not my kind of color, but application was smooth and relatively streak-free :)

"Which Is Witch?"
1 coats over "I Theodora You",  and 2 coats by itself on the accent nail, no top coat

In indirect light...

Awesome, short silver holographic bar glitter and holographic silver hex's in a clear base! Great coverage at one coat and even better at two.  This is a keeper!

"What Wizardy Is This?"
2 coats, no top coat. After 30 minutes.

Awesome cognac brown liquid sand polish. Easy to apply, and even easier to wear. I've been wearing the liquid sand polishes for a while now, and they wear like iron...no chips, in 5 day!! My mother is in love with them too. :)

Okay, my picks from this collection are "What Wizadry Is This?", "Glints Of Glinda", "Which Is Witch?", and "Lights Of Emerald City". I am disappointed that this collection does not have more color *cough green, cough, cough*, based on the "Oz" theme, but for a "softer collection" , they hit the mark.  If you like light and wispy colors with a touch of WOW, this collection is for you!

Only a good witch could turn beige from meek to chic.

Is this silver glitter with iridescent sparkle or the other way around?

ABOUT Oz The Great and Powerful
Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.

“Oz The Great and Powerful” is produced by Joe Roth, with screen story by Mitchell Kapner and screenplay by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. Grant Curtis, Palak Patel, Philip Steuer and Josh Donen are serving as executive producers. “Oz The Great and Powerful” opens in U.S. theaters on March 8, 2013.
