SINFULCOLORS: Crystal Crushes and Leather Luxe: Swatches and Review

I'm BACK! Yep, I'm back from my trip to India and I have fully recovered from my "jet lag".  The 12.5 hour difference was a "doozie", LOL!

Here are FOUR new colors from SINFULCOLORS.

Two from the "Leather Luxe" collection and two from the "Crystal Crush" collection. SINFULCOLORS can be found at

First Up...

Sinful "Cold Leather"
2 coats, no top coat

"Cold Leather" is a matte blue polish, that is best with no top coat.  It was a bit difficult to apply the first coat, but the second coat was much better, however when you apply the second coat, you must use a gentle touch..don't be heavy handed.

Sinful "Leather Loose"
2 coats, no top coat

"Leather Loose" is a gorgeous dark brown matte with shimmer.  This is okay as a matte, but when top coat is added...

WOWZA! Yep, this is an amazing color! It is the kind of shimmer and glitter that shines from within....Amazing!  This applied well , better than the previous color. Two coats is what is needed to get an opaque smooth coat.

Sinful "Emerald Green"
2 coats, no top coat

"Emerald Envy" is a textured green shimmer.  This color is bright and very pretty.  Applied well in two coats, no issues.

Sinful "Face the Facets"
2 coats, no top coat

"Face the Facets" is a lemon yellow textured shimmer. It is described as "banana bling", LOL!  I really like how bright and fresh this yellow is.  This applied with no issue sin two coats. Because it was thick, it did take longer to dry, without a fast dry top coat. Next time I'll use 1 thin coat of a fast dry top coat to speed up the process.

Overall I love the Leather Luxe colors with the shimmer, very pretty.  my favorites are "Leather Loose" and "Emerald Envy" from the Crystal Crush Collection.

All these colors can be found at your local Walgreens, and make sure you stay up to date with all the newest Sinful Colors, by checking out the website.

Sinful Colors introduces SINFULSHINE

Sinful has released a new line of polishes that offer HIGH shine and HIGH gloss with GEL Technology!

"Gel Tech is a self-curing polymer formula that delivers the same high shine gloss as an acrylic UV cured gel without the hassle of a special lamp.  SinfulShine is five times more glossy than a patent leather shoe*...not that's shine!!!"

* 2012 glossmeter study

There are 32 new colors in their line.  Today, I am sharing two gorgeous greens from the new collection.

SinfulShine "My Kryptonite"
2 coats, no top coat

Bottle Shot

"My Kryptonite" is a smooth teal/grass green creme. Definitely leans more teal green, rather than grass green. This is bright and smooth and applied perfectly in two coats. It was actually opaque in one coat, but I did two coats, out of habit.  I love it, smooth rich, easy to apply!! WOW! In the past I've had such issue with Sinfuls application and inconsistent formula, but this was a sheer joy!

SinfulShine "Amazonian"
2 coats, no top coat

Bottle Shot

"Amazonian" is an amazing jungle green shimmer. AMAZING! This was another great color, opaque in one coat, but I applied two out of the sheer enjoyment of watching the sparkle, and lusciousness of this polish. Not only is the formula smooth and gel-like, it goes on sooo well. Even the brush was easy to manage.

Besides these 2 colors I personally purchased "Most Sinful",  which is a dupe of their previous color "Endless Blue".  It was smooth and gel-like and nearly opaque in 1 coat. I wore "Most Sinful" with my usual 2 top coats, for an entire week. No chips! And the shine was OFF THE CHAIN!

These new colors in their SinfulShine line are amazing and at the bargain price of $2.99 (less if on sale), they are a STEAL!

$2.99 exclusively at Walgreens stores.

A SINFUL COLOR worth searching for...

Happy Monday!

I have for you today a game changer, at least it was for me. For years I had tried Sinful Colors Nail Polish and hated tit, it chipped, the formula's were inconsistent, it just did not work for me.

BUT this one did, Sinful Colors "Endless Blue", it is amazing! Great color, great formula, and it lasted 3 days with no chips!!!!

Sinful "Endless Blue", and Orly "Retro Red".

AMAZING...Right?  I applied 2 easy coats of the sinful and they applied like buttah!  For the accent nail I applied 2 coats of the Orly, and  with my handy dotting tools,  I did blue dots and then smaller red dots on top, creating blue rings on my nails.

Sinful "Endless Blue" is an amazing bright cobalt blue creme. It is from their "Buff to Bright" Collection, and is practically a 1-coater...WOO HOO!

Even better it is a dead on dupe of Nails Inc "Baker St.". Also, it can be found at your neighborhood drugstore for around $1.99 and sometimes on sale for .99 cents.  So there are 3 great reasons to go find it and buy it!!!

Orly "Retro Red" is from the Plastix Collection 2010 .  It is a bright orange toned red, that dries with a plastic like finish. This collection came in 4 colors, red, orange, teal and purple and I love them all. Perfect application in 2 coats. '

I was prepared for this manicure to chip, and I didn't even do my usual 2 coats of top coat. I just applied Seche Vite and let it dry. Wow, 3 days and no chips...what a happy surprise :)

Sinful Colors: Sugar Rush Spring 2013

Okay, so generally I am not a fan of Sinful Colors, the reason being is that they are "chippy" on me.  This along with the added fact that, in the past, they had some questionable ad campaigns that exploited works of fellow bloggers, does not help either.

BUT that is not to say it is a BAD brand to buy, or wear.  I know A LOT of nail lovers, who love and swear by this brand, and it wears like IRON on their nails.  The collections are frequent, always have the latest colors, and are fairly inexpensive at $1.99, and always go on sale for 99 cents. You can't beat that, LOL!

So recently, they released this collection that had a polish named "Candy Coated" , and well you know I had to buy it!  So here is "Candy Coated", and her fun loving "sweet treated' friends. :)

"Sugar N Spice"
2 coats, no top coat

Mid-toned dark pink creme with a subtle shimmer.  It was thick, which is why my nails have a sort of "thick" look. No Bueno!

"Cotton Candy"
3 coats, no top coat

Mid-toned light pink with a subtle shimmer.  This was better, but the third coats was necessary for me to get rid of bald spots.

"Orange Cream"
3 coats, no top coat

Light peach creme with a very subtle shimmer. This is a gorgeous color.  It has an almost "jelly" like formula, applied smoothly, but 3 coats was needed to cover bald spots.

"Unicorn"
3 coats, no top coat

Light yellow creme. I do not think this is new, and I've heard it is part of the "core" line, but never the less, Sinful decided to put it in the collection display,  and it works well with the theme so here it is, LOL!

I love this color, which is odd for several reasons. 1st, I generally do not like pastels, 2nd... I do not like light yellow wince my room as a baby was yellow, and as a toddler I never liked it, LOL :)

But this color looks good on my hands, so I have to "smile" at it.  But the formula was "blotchy" yet thick, and I needed 3 coats to cover up bald spots :(

"Sugar Rush"
2 coats, no top coat

Pretty powder blue creme. This is where the collection takes a turn in "formula", from this point on all the colors become manageable and smooth, its a polish miracle!!  This is a great blue for Spring.

"Sweet Nothing"
2 oats, no top coat

Mid-toned teal blue creme. Gorgeous, bright and energetic, this is a definite keeper!

"Candy Coated"
2 coats, no top coat

Soft blue-tones purple creme with a very subtle shimmer.  Love! Simply LOVE!

"Sweet Tooth"
2 coats, no top coat

Pink tones purple creme with a subtle shimmer.  Very pretty, I like how it is "bright" yet "light", Nice. :)

Overall the formulas are odd and I do not care for them. The colors are nice, and let's be honest, anything that is arranged in a rainbow pattern, as a display always gets my attention.  Way back in the day, I was a big fan of unicorns, Lisa Frank stickers, etc, so if it has a rainbow or comes in a "rainbow of colors", I'm SOLD! LOL!

My favorites are the blues and the purples, but as a set I say ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK". I do not like Sinfuls brushes, and the polish sometimes started to drip from the top of the brush while I was brushing  even-though I swiped the brush on the edge several times.  Just not my cup of tea. But for $1.99-99 cents, can you beat it?
