Catrice "Blue Cara Ciao"...with a KICK!!!!

Hello it's another gloomy day in LA! But I have a super pretty blue that honestly reminds me of the perfect pool water... before everyone jumps in and muddy's it up, LOL!!!!

Catrice "Cara Ciao"
2 coats, topped with 1 coat of Wet n Wild "Party of Five" glitter. :)

Love this blue, ! "Cara Ciao" is a vibrant and smooth Robin egg blue creme. Catrice is my favorite brand from Germany, or from Europe for that matter.  I actually may travel to Germany, just so I can get my hands on this polish line...my luggage would be super heavy on the trip back!!! LOL!

Even though I loved this blue, once I painted my nails with it, I just had to top it with something. Hmmm???

I wanted to make sure that whatever I used, did not cover all the fabulous blue of the Catrice, so Wet n Wild's  "Party of Five" glitter was perfect!

Comparison: Wet n Wild Coloricon Be Jeweled vs. China Glaze Prismatic Chroma

Okay here they are side by side!

First, I matched up the colors to see which ones matched which, after that I compared them side by side, 2 coats each, with no top coat.

First up...
WnW "Speak When Spoken To" vs. China Glaze "Liquid Crystal"
2 coats, no top coat

Left to Right: China Glaze, Wet n Wild, China Glaze, Wet n Wild.

Left to Right: China Glaze, Wet n Wild

In indirect light...

Left to Right: China Glaze, Wet n Wild.

Not dupes, the WnW is much lighter in color, but the duo-chrome flash is much better on the WnW! Oh Baby!

WnW "The Crown Is Mine" vs. China Glaze "Prism"
2 coats, no top coat

Left to Right: China Glaze, Wet n Wild, China Glaze, Wet n Wild.

Not dupes, the WnW is much lighter in pigmented color, but the duo-chrome flash is a bit better than the China Glaze. These are close, but no cigar!!

WnW "Born Into Privilege" vs. China Glaze "Ray-Diant"

Dupes! The WnW formula is thinner, but the colors, and flash are spot on!

Not dupes, the WnW is much lighter, but the duo-chrome flash is much better!

and then there was the last one, "Polarized", but since there is no Wet n Wild color to compare it to, I'll just leave you with this ...

LOL...The cheese stands alone! :)

So overall, I like the China Glaze colors because they are more opaque, and the colors in the glitter are more vibrant .....HOWEVER the Wet n Wilds have more of a duo-chrome effect, which makes them UBER nice for the price!

My suggestion if you have both? Layer the WnW over the China Glaze, you get the opaque coverage of the ChG with the added flash of the WnW on top....Oh Yeah!!!!

If you just have the WnW colors....no worries, do a coat of silver polish as a base, then apply the WnW...opaque and pretty!

If you have the China Glaze colors...no worries, they are gorgeous all by themselves...trust me!

Wet n Wild Coloricon Be Jeweled Spring 2012: Swatches

Hey there, yes I am so behind in my swatches, but the next 3 post are gonna be awesome!

Today I have the Wet n Wild "Coloricon Be Jeweled" Collection that was released earlier this month...maybe even  April, LOL! :) You can still find some at Rite Aids or other local drugstores, although Rite-Aid is the only place I've seen them.

Tomorrow I will have my swatches of the China Glaze "Prismatic" Collection, which is basically a dupe collection, except some colors are a bit more vibrant  and opaque in the China Glaze Collection... but we'll see that tomorrow.

Then after that I will have a comparison post marking the differences and similarities between the two, Sound good? Great! :)

Okay, On with the show...

Wet n Wild
"Jewels For Your Highness"
2 coats, no top coat

In the shade...

Light pink glitter with multi colored glitter. In the shade it flashes a hotter pink and  and bit of purple.

Wet n Wild
"Speak When Spoken To"
 2 coats, no top coat

In the shade...

This is my favorite, it is a silvery blue glitter with multi-colored glitter. In the shade it shifts to pink and purple, super pretty!

Wet n Wild
"Born Into Privilege"
2 coats, no top coat

In the shade...

Super light green/gold glitter with flashes gold, yellow, blue toned green glitter, and lots of multi-glitter. In the shade, it switches from gold to green. :)

Wet n Wild
"The Crown Is Mine"
2 coats, no top coat

In the shade...

Silvery purple glitter with multi-colored glitter. In the shade is flashes pink  and too a brighter purple.

Wet n Wild
"Bow In My Presence"
2 coats, no top coat

In the shade...

A pretty teal blue glitter with tons of multi-glitter and flashes of purple and pink.  The flashes are noticeable in the sun and in the shade :)

Overall I'm happy I grabbed these little beauties. They were smooth and easy to apply, and were not very bumpy or clumpy.  Most of them were kind of thin for me, where you could see the visible nail line. :(  But the flashes of color on the nail in the shade, and indoors is soooo worth it. Definitely worth grabbing, or swapping for if you didn't grab them while in the stores. :)

Tomorrow I'll post my pictures of the China Glaze Prismatics collection :)
