Gorgeous! You've seen it before, but here it is again!
Chanel "Paradoxal"2 coats with 1 coat of Seche
Its a great taupe/purple creme with bright purple micro-shimmer...LOVE IT!
Great formula, no problems here!
Chanel you have my allegiance, now all you have to do is make this same combo, but in a navy/grey version with bright blue micro-shimmer, and we are good to go :):)
....and oh yeah, Chanel, can you lower your price...I have a $25 polish limit and you are dangerously close..Thanks ;)

Nfu-Oh #61
My first attempt at #61 was horrible, it didn't smooth out, it dragged, you name it, it happened!
But after I did the layering suggested by Lacquerized HERE, "How to: Make your manicure last"...I was good to go.
Here is Nfu-Oh#61....AGAIN!
I did the following:
OPI Nail Envy-Matte
Nfu-Oh Aqua Base
Nfu-Oh #61
Nfu-Oh Aqua Base
Nfu-Oh #61
NO TOP COAT!
The manicure lasted 2 days and then started to chip, but it was all worth it!!!!
Oh lord, just looking at these pics again, makes me want to put it on again!

Okay, so this was my first holographic from Nfu-Oh...which one should be my next Nfu-Oh holographic purchase??

I did a bad, bad, thing...
I went yesterday to Nordstroms to see if the rumors about Zulu were true..no dice, they didn't have, nor had the heard of it. I looked around, not really buying anything and left.
This morning I ran out of my usual tinted moisturizer by Bobbi Brown and remembered that Nordstroms sale started today at 7am. Exactly the same time I would get to work....SCORE! So I made a detour this morning and went to Nordstroms first. I got my moisturizer remembered the new Lippmann's were out and asked to see them. She whisked me over to them and I saw "Bad Romance", it is sooo hot!!!
I had it in my hands until I saw "Across the Universe"! OMFG! I looked for a tester (so I could see the opaqueness against the bottle neck), they didn't have one out. I told her I could not buy it without seeing the neck, she looked at me oddly and said "OK", so we opened a bottle and once I swiped the brush against the neck...I was sold!
The blue whore in me.. dropped "Bad Romance" like a bad habit and grabbed "Across The Universe", I ran to the counter, paid quickly and went to work!!
And now here I sit with my Nfu Oh #61 manicure and one Hot blue nail!!! I am in love! This is my first Lippmann nail polish purchase ( I have the cuticle oil) and it is NOT going to be my last.
2 coats, its smooth, not bumpy AT ALL.
Its a dark blue jelly base with bright blue glitter along with green and blue hexagon larger glitter...GORGEOUS!
I'm in love! Sorry for the crappy pics. but I had to do this all really quick before everyone came in the office and wondered why they smelled nail polish :):)
I'll swatch it again this weekend, so you can get a better pic...Happy Friday!

Hot MAMA !!!
I go to CVS to see if Sally Hansen's were on sale, and what hits me Milani "Hot Metal" in the Sally's section.
Invariably someone misplaced it in the wrong section because the display it belonged in was wiped clean....Woo Hoo! I've been looking for this one for awhile.
Then I really get hit...I go to check out Borghese and I see Sally Hansen "Hidden Treasure"...WTF?!!!!! Are the nail fairies following me around and putting all my lemmings in front of me?
Now I received HT as a gift from Ange (Love ya!), but the Milani was a gift from the nail gods. I grabbed both and off I went to swatch.
Milani "Hot Metal"
2 coats, with 1 top coat of Seche Vite.
Love this color, I should have done 3 coats, but I was so excited I had no patience to do 3 coats.
Love the blue flash, that pops from this polish....GORGEOUS!
Keep it sweet ! :)

My poor Mommy...
No, no, no worries she's healthy and happy, but my poor mother buys nail polish and invariably...EVERY TIME she buys a new polish, its a dupe (or kissin cousin) of a color she already has.
Usually she is with me when she gets a nail polish (I think she gets 'high off of the fumes' from my own obsession) and starts to look at "new" colors, then I go over and look in her basket..and WHAM..she has a basketful of dupes....LOL...then we proceed to put them all back, poor Mommy:)
So what happens when she buys polish without me...WHAM a dupe or a flashier version of a color she already has (she doesn't like too much "glitz" in her polish)...LOL!
So I give you her new purchase, Essie "Buy me a cameo", and her old polish OPI "Queen of d'Nile" BLACK LABEL.
Yeah, Essie is a flashier younger brother to the OPI, and my poor mother had no idea until she showed me. So what does any good daughter do...immediately swatch them both of course :) LOL!
Here is the Essie, a bit streaky but very pretty. 2 coats and it was perfect. This shade is "a bit" boring for me, but I still think its pretty, sort of a champagne shimmer with a slight pink twist.
So here is the Essie (2 coats) and the OPI (3 coats) is on the thumb. The OPI is far more pretty in my opinion, understated elegance, just enough shimmer, but not too much, and its a black label to boot...Woo Hoo!
Well my mom gave me the Essie and she kept the OPI. Hilarious! I would have rather had the OPI...I need help!
P.S.....not a day later she goes out and gets an OPI "Chocolate Shakespeare" (by herself), and brings it home, and GUESS WHAT?.....it is the flashier cousin of an ULTA color she already has....SMH!!!!

No new nail post today :)
I love nail polish and I also love the Yankees, so today I'm mourning the loss of a great team owner, George Steinbrenner.
"George Steinbrenner, whose thirst for winning gained him infamy as Yankees owner, died Tuesday, the team confirmed, after suffering a massive heart attack at his Tampa home. He was 80 years old."
R.I.P. George!

My favorite quote from True Blood....so far!
Last night's episode was crazy, but it reminded me how much I like Pam, I hope they don't kill her off ( I didn't read the books). Anyway, here is my favorite quote from her.
"Pam: I don't know what it is about me that makes people think I want to hear their problems. Maybe I smile too much. Maybe I wear too much pink. But please remember I can rip your throat out if I need to. And also know that I am not a hooker. That was a long, long time ago...
Lafayette: I---I...
Pam: Yeah? You picking up what I'm puttin' down?"
I LOVE PAM! So here's my Pink inspired manicure for PAM!
Zoya "Katy"
2 coats with two top coats
Bright pink creme with hot pink shimmer. This polish is getting old and a little thick I need to buy some Zoya Restore to help bring it back to life :)
I used 1 coat of OPI top coat and then 1 coat of CG Fast Forward, however these two did not go well together and the CG peeled off like saran wrap a day later.:(
I imagine is Pam wore this shade of pink , no one would mess with her..agree?

Bust the Drama
D.R.A.M.A.
That's what Nfu-Oh #61 gave me last night, major drama. This polish is a BITCH to apply and I bought the damn "Aqua Base" too. So after all that was over, then I applied my usual top coat...BIG F'in mistake, it was a disaster.
For those of you who have Nfu-Oh #61, you left out the part about the top coat taking away all the shine and glitz...do I have to buy the Nfu-Oh holographic top coat too? Please let me know what you use on top of Nfu-Oh #61...UUGGGHHHHH!
So late last night while I was taking off #61, I put on Chanel "Paradoxal"..which put a smile back on my face! :) But we have no sun today so you get pics from a manicure, I did last week. :( It's still pretty ...promise!
I started with Essence "No more drama" and then topped it with Pure Ice "Busted".
1 coat No More Drama
2 coats Busted
I had no problems with the application both polishes worked like a charm :)
This manicure is light yet blingy, so pretty!

Oooppss I forgot...
I forgot to post pics of my July 4th manicure...the Mojitos totally distracted me..LOL!
2 coats CG Millennium and a cute little nail art sticker.
I literally did these before I left for a party, so I had to think of the quickest/festive manicure and this was it. It an "understated celebratory manicure"...LOL :) I'll do better next year!
Topped it with Seche and I was out the door in 5 minutes! SECHE VITE to the rescue!!!!!!!!!
On a side note......my neighbor made bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese, and let me tell you...BACON makes EVERYTHING better!
On another side note....Dainty Darling Digits is having a giveaway...go HERE to enter!
Keep it sweet ladies!

Ki
2 coats
Gorgeous duo-chrome that flashes blue, purple, green...gorgeous!
Zara
2 coats
Light purple with gold shimmer. This one really shocked me, I like it far more than I thought on my hand. Pastels automatically get a bad rap with me, but once they are on my hand, I like most of them.
Mimi
2 coats
Gorgeous purple shimmer/sparkle. I love "mermaid scales", no matter the color.
Pinta
1 coat
Yeah you read right, one coat. I love polishes that are one coat..PERFECT for layering. This is a great dark, deep purple creme!
Freja
3 coats
I did 3 coats because of the slight brush strokes. I love this gunmetal grey, it looks great on the hand.
I messed up the tip...I was in such a rush to get it on, it was so pretty!:P
Kotori
2 coats
Beautiful blackened blue shimmer...LOVE this color, but of course I do its a blue...are you really shocked LOL!
Now that I have all these, you would think I would be happy...OH NO...their new fall colors are gorgeous. need them all! :)
