I got my hands on this spooky surprise recently and decided I test my glow in the dark photography skills..LOL!

3 coats OPI "Zom-Body To Love" topped with one coat of wet n wild "Tangled In My Web", 30 seconds under the lamp.

Don't let my lack of night vision photography fool ya...this polish DOES glow!

I put the bottle (and my hands) under the light for 30 seconds and it glowed for about an hour on my night stand..LOL.

The polish is slightly sheer and grainy, but it has no problem glowing at 1 coat or 3 coats. Plus, I have 2 coats of top coat on top and that didn't stop the glow in the least bit.

I like the look of the dots rather than the Black Shatter it came with..this way more can "glow thru"..LOL...I crack my self up!!! :)

Good Morning, it's Monday, it's cold, and I'm kind of miserable until the sun comes out...LOL. I am sooo not a morning person. But I have today some great new glitters from Nicole by OPI :)

I recently cut my nails, (I do this about 3-4 times a year) I think it's good to grow a new set of nails, every quarter :)

New nails, new colors, and these new glitters are just what my new tips needed. I was really surprised at which ones were my favorites! I'm going to start off with my favorite.

GORGEOUS! This one reminds me of falling Fall leaves and it is so pretty!!!! This bright red-orange glitter reminds me of Hard candy "Lava" but with an added punch of gold glitter! Love this color, and if you haven't guessed it's my favorite!

"Snow-Man Of My Dreams"
The “spark” was instant with this rainbow-packed blue

Love the silvery blue, very pretty, but I was a bit disappointed in the lack  of coverage.  I used 2 coats, but 3 was definitely needed.  The silvery blue is awesome and I love how interspersed with the blue are purple, green and silver glitter. I Love this mix of colors, I just wish it covered opaque in 2 coats.

Great gold- all mighty!!!!! This one is bright and super fun to wear. Great in 2 coats, no complaints and the contrast between the gold and the red is awesome!

Gorgeous red based purple (or magenta) glitter with gold glitter dispersed in between. This one was really pretty and opaque in 2 coats, but I would have liked more gold to contrast more with the glamorous purple.

A special note, all these glitters are AMAZINGLY SMOOTH, I mean they were not bumpy to the touch or gritty like most glitters.  They did dry some-what matte, so a top coat is necessary to give them that shine factor! My favorites are the first two colors, they are must-haves in my book!

OPI Revamps iPhone Application with New Visuals, Greater Speed and More Colors

           

OPI announces the re-launch of the OPI Application for the iPhone^® and iPod Touch^®.  The updated OPI App continues to offer an easy, free way to browse and search over 200 OPI nail lacquer shades – now at faster speeds.  The Try It On Color Studio continues to provide a look at all current OPI shades, while the search feature now incorporates retired shades, allowing users to view past favorites and information about the year in which those hues were retired.

            The updated OPI App also includes higher resolution images to further enhance visual displays. In addition to running faster, the application now has the capability to wait in the background while other programs are used, namely Facebook. This feature gives users the option to check OPI’s Facebook page without having to leave the OPI App.

            “The improved OPI App gives fans the chance to try on lacquers easier than before. The App’s Try it on Studio has been hugely popular, and we are happy to improve upon and expand it. It’s a great resource when choosing your lacquer at the salon, since you can get an idea of how a color looks on your hand before committing,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “The portable nature of the OPI App makes it easy to take while shopping and choose a lacquer shade to accessorize any new dress, top or jacket right there in the store!”

OPI "Pink Shatter": Swatches and Review

Recently OPI sent me a sample of their Pink Shatter, Pink of Hearts Nail Lacquer to Support Susan G. Komen for the Cure, released this month in honor of breast cancer awareness.

I've seen swatches over lighter colors, but none over a darker color, so I decided to swatch a thick coat of it over black :)

The formula and finish of this Pink Shatter reminds me of the Blue Shatter previously released by OPI.  It is a sheer hot pink with shimmer,  In order to get an opaque finish on my manicure I had to apply a thick layer (thicker than usual;) to the black. I wanted to make sure the pink showed up.  

You should always apply your Shatter top coat once the base coat has fully dried.  I did not, and thus you can see how the polish finished with a "wavy' or "wrinkled" kind of texture.  Kinda cool for a goof! :P

OPI Designer Series "Bold" and "Temptation": Swatches and Review

Today I have 2 new additions to OPI's DS line.

First up...

OPI DS "Bold"

Smooth, it applied nicely. and it was not gritty like most glitters. :)

Yep, "DS Bold" definitely lives up to its name...this one screams holiday to me! Great pink jelly with pink and silver glitter...and if you are thinking it looks familiar, that is because it has a twin by the name of China Glaze "Mrs. Claus"...yep their dupes.

If you have the twin, then breathe a sigh of relief, you won't need "Bold"..but if you missed out on grabbing "Mrs. Claus", then here is your 2nd chance to own the same color :)

Look at that glitter!

"Temptation" has  an indigo jelly base with vibrant blue based purple glitter, and as you can see in the close-up shot, there are also blue, silver and bright violet glitter as well. Gorgeous! This applied smooth as well, no issues. 


Although, these 2 new colors are not holographic (like older additions), they are still nothing to "scoff "at....grab'em if you see'em :)
