Sonoma Nail Art "The Puck Stops Here"

I Love Snoopy!

Technically I love Lucy more than Snoopy, but all-in-all, the Peanuts characters rock! Anyone and everyone can find a character they identify with in the Peanuts line-up, Lucy is mine...but I'll share her with you, LOL!

Anyway, when Sonoma Nail Art released the polish "The Puck Stops Here" in honor of Charles M. Schulz, I was on it like a dog to ice (Snoopy reference), LOL! :)

I paired it with Illamasqua "Caress", and the 2 made the perfect pair.

I did 2 coats of the Illamasqua for the manicure and then for the accent finger I applied 1 coat of the Illamasqua and 2 coats of  "The Puck Stops Here".

I wore this for an astounding 5 days and these pics are after 4 days! Tip wear, no chips!

I wore this manicure for 5 days for 2 reasons....#1: I fell in love with this manicure and #2: I was immensely busy at work, and by the time I got home I was too tired to change it, LOL! :)

Sonoma Nail Art "The Puck Stops Here" is a "wintry blue polish inspired by Snoopy's Ice Rink in Santa Rosa, California. Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz was an avid hokey player and hung out at his ice rink all of the time. Lots of people still enjoy a skate around the rink and a hot chocolate at the Warm Puppy Cafe. The Puck Stops Here features multiple shades of blue and silver, with a smattering of white shredded glitter. "

Illamasqua "Caress" is a baby blue creme. The color of the perfect sky in Spring. :)

Also, after the manicure dried for a couple minutes, I topped it with my usual duo of OPI "Top Coat" and then Seche Vite.

That's it ....all done!

"Sonoma Sunset" and Zoya "Julieanne"

Happy Friday!!!

This week has been hectic and this weekend is not looking any better, but this manicure from 3 weeks ago is pretty...so that is a consolation :)

I decide to pair my new Sonoma Nail Art color "Sonoma Sunset" with Zoya "Julieanne", and it turned out amazing! :)

I applied 2 coat of the Zoya and then 1 coat of "Sonoma Sunset". :)

Zoya "Julieanne" is a dark purple shimmer with a slight gold, yellow and green duo-chrome.  So pretty and in 2 coats, opaque and easy to apply.

Sonoma Nail Art "Sonoma Sunset" has pink, blue, lavender and purple glitter is a shimmery tinted base. The pink is almost peachy in tone, and is really reminiscent of a sunset. Since I am just about done with the darker colors of fall, I decided to top it over this Zoya and MAN!... what an impact the darker color had on the glitter. :)

Both polishes layered over each other beautifully, and these photos were taken after 4 days...so they lasted a longtime, chip free. :)

Again, I did 2 coats of the Zoya, 1 coat of Sonoma Sunset and then topped it with 2 coats of topcoat.

These 2 colors definitely deserved to be together...Keep It Sweet!

Sonoma Nail Art "Halloween In The Vines" and China Glaze.

My last Sonoma Nail Art color for Halloween 2012.  I decided to pair the lovely purple glitter in "Halloween In The Vines", to some of the lovely purple colors I have in my China Glaze Collection. :)

"Halloween In The Vines" is a great purple glitter. Purple tinted base with deep purple, light purple, silver and magenta glitter. The glitter was super easy to apply, and once again there was no need to "place" the glitter on the nails, it applied perfectly! No issues, no placement. Just great!

Sonoma Nail Art "Here Lies Robert" with OPI.

Okay this glitter was not my favorite from the collection, but paired with these OPI's has skyrocketed it to the top of my list! I LOVED this manicures, definitely one of my favorite manicures yet!

Because the Sonoma Glitter has such great colors of green grey and silver in it, I really wanted to find an array of base colors that would compliment it, so I did a gradient hand and the slapped the glitter in top of them all! :)

I did the same gradient on the right hand but in the opposite order...

"Here Lies Robert" is a great color, very dark, and creepy! :) This is the only polish with a clear base, and it has squares, hexagons, diamonds and bar glitter. All in a variety of shades of black, grey, bright green, moss green, silver and gold. It reminds me of zombie flesh.  :P

UPDATE 10/24/12 9:11am : It is still available now on her etsy site HERE

The glitter was very smooth and went on with no issues. I did not have to "place" any of the glitter on my nails, best glitter application by far, hands down!  Here are some pics in indirect light.

Sonoma Nail Art "Sincerest Pumpkin Patch" and Zoya.

Okay, another day, another polish! LOL!  Today I have a fun green manicure I wore for 4 days, using Sonoma Nail Art and Zoya.

Left to Right: Zoya "Envy", "Shawn", "Bevin", and Sonoma Nail Art "Sincerest Pumpkin Patch".

This bis an awesome green glitter.  I started with 2 thin coats of color. Left to Right: "Envy", "Bevin", "Shawn", and "Envy".  After 2 minutes, I applied 2 coats of the Sonoma Glitter.

I love how the glitter polish looks over "Shawn", I think this is the best background for it, but honestly I was the most surprised by how it turned out over "Bevin". The Sonoma glitter has a green tinted base, so it can slightly change the color of the polish it is applied over, which makes it very cool. :)

"Sincerest Pumpkin Patch" has a great mossy green base with grass green glitter, lime green glitter, orange hexagons and green squares. AMAZING! It looks like pumpkins are floating on my nail. I love it!!!

I swatched it on a bare nail  HERE, for reference.

Check it out in indirect light...

LOVE! :)

The glitter applied perfectly over the polish, dried nicely and not gritty, and it only needed 2 coats of top coat to become smooth and polished! Sonoma Nail Art is opening up again this coming Monday, October 22nd. for the last re-stock of this Halloween Collection, 6:30pm PST.

You can buy it on her etsy site here. My suggestion is if there are 2 or more colors you want, try and get the entire set, it's much easier to do, than hoping around the site getting individual colors.

But I am warning you her sales are EPIC and the color are gone within seconds, maybe even minutes, so move fast and get them while they are in stock!
