Atlantis..my long lost love!

I love this color, but I know you can get V.N.L. if you don't layer it, so I did a layer of my favorite nude and then 2 coats of Atlantis...perfection!

1 coat of Color Club "Best Dressed List"
2 coats of China Glaze "Atlantis"

Love it!  I've seen post with this layered over aqua, green, navy and all sorts of blues, but just alone, in its glory...its gorgeous!

And as with most gorgeous, blingy, pretty things, this was a P.I.T.A. to remove...nothing the foil method couldn't handle, but damn, it still stuck like glue.

This is a perfect aqua green jelly base, with aqua and multi-holographic glitter.

So pretty!

Love it! Happy Friday!!! :)  This is the last day to enter my giveaway, I'll draw the winner using random.org and announce the winner on Sunday :)

Sinful in Black!

I'm back from my vacation in New Hampshire, and let's just say...I now KNOW what a SMALL town looks like!  I had a great time! :)

I have two Sinfuls  that are awesome by themselves, but over black they are jaw dropping!

First up, Sinful's "Let me go", 3 coats
A pearl purple/pink polish, sheer and very pretty, with flashes of purple, pink and blue.

Then add a layer of this over Wet n Wild Black creme, and WALLA!

Awesome! It turns into this great duo-chrome that flashes aqua, gold and blue..love it!

Next up, Sinful's "You just wait". 3 coats

Sheer but pretty, a very feminine pink with flashes of gold!

But over black, it becomes truly "Sinful"

It turns into this awesome, green duo-chrome with flashes of pink, olive, and gold!

Gorgeous!

Isn't it amazing that 2 colors so delicate and turn into something so dark and mysterious! I love when you discover things like this :)

Don't forget to enter my giveaway by clicking on the cuticle oil in the upper right hand corner, it ends on the 17th :)

OPI Midnight Blue Glitter

This has got to be the most simply named polish by OPI, basic, straight to the point..it is, what it is!

OPI
Midnight Blue Glitter
4 coats

I got this one at a blogger sale and well, I am a sucker for blues.  This coclor is definitely best over a darker blue or black, as without any base it needs 4 coats to be opaque.

Its a glitter, that hsa a black jelly base, and the glitter is black, grey, teal, and dark blue, very interesting.

Easy to apply, but very hard to photograph.

I really like this color, I need to try it over black or a nice dark grey.

Orly: Blue Suede

I like it!

Orly "Blue Suede"
2 coats
I really like the effect. It reminds me of the Orly "Plastixs" line, matte but "rubberized". Beautiful dusty blue!

Dry time was a bit slow on this one, the application was easy, but  it can drag on the 2nd coat if the 1st coat isn't dry to the touch, so you definitely have to wait a couple minutes between coats. It's worth the wait :)

I could wear this matte, or with a top coat! Awesome!

There is a creaminess that this polish has that makes it seem richer than most mattes, and only when you add a top coat can you see that it is truly different!

I think I need to get the black from this line, OH wait..I just checked my list, I have it   :)  LOL..okay so now I need to get the others colors from this line.....anyone have any of the other colors that came from this line?

Yummers! :):)

I don't like it...

Happy Monday!

Sally Hansen
"Purple Pizzazz"
3 coats.

I'd always seen this polish in the store, picked it up and thought "pretty", then I'd put it back....

So when I was shopping for a swap, and this was on the list I decided to finally grab a bottle for myself...and well I regret it!

Maybe I got a bad bottle, and since buying this bottle I have not purchased another Sally Hansen "Xtreme Wear" color since.

3 coats...and V.N.L.....uh huh, no way, not happy!

Nope! Not buying it, yeah its a beautiful purple, bright, jelly, gorgeous, but this SHIT is for the birds!

It has purple flecks, and well I'm not gonna bull shit you, its pretty, but it has to be layered over a more opaque color to get anything near what the bottle looks like.

No! No! No! :( :(

My Altar Ego...

Altar Ego by ULTA

I first saw this color in another post layered under OPI "Absolutely Alice", which was a great idea!

But on its own...it's better!!

Its a great dusty teal that almost has foil like metallic quality.  In the bottle there are flashes of green, but with my pictures I wasn't able to catch it on the nail!

Great shimmer, I'm really impressed with this one.  2 coats, no complaints!

There was a time when I bought Ulta polishes often, It was while I was in college, and I could not always afford OPI, Orly, Essie etc.  Ulta was close to my apartment and I went there every weekend, especially if they ahad a sale.

Whenever I went, I would always grab 2 bottles (usually on sale "2 for $5" or something like that) and would always be very happy with whatever I grabbed!

Back then the bottles were different  (smaller) and new colors were not released as often, but now they have really stepped up their game....and their prices :) Amidst all the change that Ulta has gone thru, one thing has not changed...the quality is still very good!

Catrice: London's Weather Forecast

Today's weather is cloudy, cool with an overcast so I thought this was appropriate!

Catrice
London's Weather Forecast
2 coats

Even though this one was a bit runny, it was still better than other brands, and the color is so pretty!

A gorgeous grey/blue creme with a hidden silver shimmer. :)

Such a great dark grey with a soft hidden silver shimmer, OH I love this color!

See it!

Indoors it looks like a fabulous dark grey creme, and outside in the light the shimmer is released, and its more fabulous!

The base color reminds me of Zoya "Kelly"...yeah?

I think I need to collect more greys so I can do a grey skittle manicure!

What's your favorite grey? or gray?

Isn't she sweet!......Okay, back to the nails :)

Pretty purple!  I used this purple for my Prince tribute manicure, but I had to break it out again, this is a gorgeous purple! It is about as multi-talented as Prince himself!

Catrice
Poison Me, Poison You
2 coats

Pretty and perfect in 2 coats, so easy..seriously how can Catrice be so easy to apply?

I love their formula, it's great..even when they have a color that is difficult, it's still better than some other high priced brands!

I've been told this is a European drug store brand, well let me tell you all my European Chicas...this brand is GOLD in my book!  F'in GOLD :)

This purple, has great pink and blue micro shimmer, so it has a variety and depth that is awesome!

Only in the sun do you see the multi colored shimmer.

Indoors, it is a great elegant eggplant, and when you go outside its like BAM!
