Jesse’s Girl: Julie G Frosted Gum Drops Nail Polish Swatches

Happy Monday!

Today I have for you, the Jesse's Girl: Julie G Frosted Gum Drops Collection.

I found these at my local Rite Aid drugstore, but they were featured on on fabulous Groupon offer recently.

These colors are amazing, and they are a part of the newest trend of "textured" polishes. These have a sandpaper like texture and an amazing SPARKLE! No top coat is needed because these polishes are meant to be worn without it. But if you do add top coat you will need about 4-5 coats.  I experimented with the red, and I needed 5 layers of top coat to get a perfectly smooth finish.

Julie G
"Hot Cinnamon"
hot-red with a glitter finish
2 coats, no top coat

Julie G
"Sugar Rush"
bright reddish pink with pops of gold glitter
2 coats, no top coat

Julie G
"Tangerine Dream"
citrus orange with specks of sparkle
2 coats, no top coat

The next set of colors, have silver shimmer and added silver glitter.  The silver glitter is much larger than the shimmer, and adds extra sparkle and shine to the textured finish.

Julie G
"Rock Candy"
teal infused with silver glitter
2 coats, no top coat

Julie G
"Blueberry Fizz"
berry blue mixed with shiny silver glitter
2 coats, no top coat

Julie G
"Crushed Candy"
pure purple with silver sparkle appeal
2 coats, no top coat

In indirect lighting...

Here you can see the larger pieces of glitter a bit better :)

Overall I love them all! Seriously they are perfect!  They all dried like a regular polish would dry, and once they are dry...they wear like IRON! Seriously, I can go 5 days and get no chips.

Most were opaque in 2 coats, but the orange and the coral may need a third coat for complete opacity. I used base coat, as I always do, and no top coat, no tricks, nothing special.

The sparkle in these is amazing and simply gorgeous!

If you do not mind the textured trend these are worth the $3.99 price tag.  You can find them at your local Rite Aid drugstore or you can order them directly from the Jesse's Girl Website

So pretty! I really want the teal one. I should've ordered through the groupon and just sold the others.

Those are so pretty, probably much cheaper than the Zoya Pixie Dust which I just purchased. Love your Blog... i'm in So Cal also.

Thank You for the comments. Yes, these are cheaper than the PixieDust colors (which I have too- LOL) I'll have to do a comparison soon to show the differences. :)

You make these look absolutely stunning. Beautiful swatches! I purchased these polishes from the groupon deal and I have been just staring at them because the colors don't motivate me. You did an awesome job of motivating me to swatch these polishes.
