Let's Do It In 3-D?!...freaky, freaky..LOL.

It just it me that all the names from the Kaleidoscope Collection are kinda "freaky deaky"...LOL!

China Glaze
"Let's Do It In 3-D"
3 coats

Gorgeous dark gray scattered holographic gorgeousness..I think this is my favorite out of the collection!

Yep..definitely my favorite!! I love how its the darker side of holographic polishes, it has the darker gray tones and yet shines like the others..awesome!  I love holographic, we all know this, but I really love dark holographic's....yum yum!

No issues with application, easy peasy! 1 coat of my OPI strengthener, 1 coat of Orly Bonder, and 3 coats of color (it's thin), and then 2 coats of top coat and I was out the door!!

Okay ...I know ,...this is getting pic heavy...but I really enjoyed wearing this color...okay one more :P

Okay, now I'm done..LOL :)

OG Baby!!!!!

Yep, its the OG..OPI DS "Original"..and it's gorgeous!

My girl Kim swatched this baby on her blog and it hit me...Ummmm yeah another gorgeous color sitting in my untrieds  **smacks head**, so I immediately grabbed it and boy am I happy I did that..Thanks Kim :)

OPI DS "Original"
2 coats

My base was OPI Nail Envy Matte, Orly Bonder, 2 coats and then I topped it with OPI Top Coat and Seche Vite to dry it all..and it lasted 4 days chip free!!

I've always thought bit was funny that they named this one "Original", and not a name more indicative of it s color..like "Lilac", "Lavender", etc. :)

But honestly, who cares, just look at it.  They could have named this "baby poop" and I would have bought it ...with a smile on my face..LOL!!

Oh lordie look at that?!  Summer time is "Holo Time" for me!! With all the gorgeous sunshine available this time of year, I have too break out my holos...LOL! I'll try and still show some other textures and finishes, but it's gonna be difficult..LOL!

If you have it wear it, and if you don't find it and buy it! :)

Keep it sweet ladies :)

See ya later alligator....

Slowly but surely I am acquiring the OMG Collection.  I recently completed collecting all the bottles of the China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection and now OMG has my undivided attention :)

I just recently received this one in a swap on MUA :)

China Glaze
L8R G8R
Gorgeous lime green linear holographic polish.

Here is the scoop..these OMG beauties are notoriously difficult to deal with so here is what I did

1 coat OPI Nail Envy- Matte
1 coat Orly Bonder
1 coat China Glaze L8R G8R
1 coat Nfu-Oh Aqua Base
1 coat China Glaze L8R G8R
1 coat Nfu-Oh Aqua Base
1 coat China Glaze L8R G8R
1 coat Sally Hansen-Hard As Nails (with the black top)

I know, 9 coats sounds crazy! But it is sooooooooo necessary to get this look!

It's so worth it...trust me.  The Sally Hansen is super simple to get, but the Aqua Base is a little more difficult. Aqua Base provides a super glossy and smooth surface so that the holographic polish doesn't grab against itself and create bald spots :)

I know that GOSH also makes an Aqua Base, but it is a European brand and can be hard to get.

But, Nfu-Oh can be purchased thru a company called Fabuloustreet.com out of San Francisco, HERE.

And after seeing these pics, I'm sure we can agree..it's worth it!

It is true that in "indoor lighting", this polish is NOT a stunner, but under the sun-light, it steals the show.

Do you have this beauty? Do you have a favorite green polish??

It's been 1 year ALREADY???

Happy Anniversary to Candy Coated Tips!!!!!

Can you believe it's been 1 whole year....I can't.

A year ago I was a happy nail-head reading blogs and painting my nails, and then it hit me...the BLOG BUG!!

It all started one day when I purchased OPI DS "Glamour" on Ebay.  I told Ange  how gorgeous the color was and she asked me to do a guest spot on her blog.  After the post, she and everyone else chimed in and convinced me to do my own blog and I am sooooo happy I did.  Here is the manicure that started it all

OPI DS "Glamour"....absolutely stunning!!!!!

It has been a blast, Yes, it takes time and patience, two things I DO NOT have, LOL, but like everything in life, if you love it, you'll make it happen and I love nail polish....so here we are 1 year later..LOL!WOOO HOO!!!!!!!!!

To boot, I got the cutest email yesterday from Amused Polish telling me I made a TOP 50 Chic Beauty Blog List...WAAAHHHHH! At first I thought she was telling me, SHE made the list and once I clicked on the link, I saw my blog listed...first reaction...WTF?...2nd reaction...OMG!, 3rd reaction...LOL!!!  If you want to check out the link and the other fabulous blogs listed please check it out HERE.

I can think of so many deserving nail blogs that deserve to be listed, and all I can say is THANK YOU to EVERYONE who reads, visits and checks out my "little old" blog...THANK YOU.

So I will be announcing a Fabulous giveaway to celebrate my anniversary....... this Friday.  This giveaway will be for my readers/followers.  International and Domestic..everyone is invited to enter. :)

I'm still buying colors for my giveaway, and I need the sun to cooperate to take some super cute and sunny pics of the polishes!

So Thank You for reading and thank you to  Careers in Fashion   for adding me to their Top 50 list!!! :):)

I also have to thank all of the wonderful companies that send me PR information and samples. Thank You!!!! :):)

Grand Slam!

I swapped for the great lemon/lime shimmer released by O.P.I and Serena Williams a while ago, and forgot to swatch it...LOL.  I guess that means my untried stash is a bit too big :)

OPI "Simply Smashing" and "Black Shatter"

This is 2 coats of "Simply Smashing" and 1 coat of "Black Shatter"

I love the bright lemon/lime shimmer of this polish.

The shimmer applies thin, but builds nicely, and the shatter goes on easy and just kinda ..does it's own thing..LOL!  Easiest nail art, I've ever attempted!

OPI vs. Zoya

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE them both, but a dupe, is a dupe, is a dupe...LOL

OPI "Suzi says feng shui" vs. Zoya "Breezi"...are they dupes?

2 coats each

Yeah, they are definite dupes!

Left to Right: Zoya, OPI, Zoya, OPI

Both colors are great dusty turquoise cremes, both formulas are perfect! High shine and opaque in 2 coats.

Zoya and OPI...dupes! So you definitely don't need both, and if you don't have the OPI, get the Zoya  during the big Zoya Earth Day Nail Polish Exchange NOW!, HERE!

Orange Sorbet Sandwich

For this one I decided to play with my Texas Sorbets..I decided to layer OPI "Ya'll Come Back Ya Hear?" and OPI DS "Treasure".

I wanted a little sorbet goodness with some shimmer, so I did 1 layer of YCBYH, then 1 layer of Treasure, and then 1 layer of YCBYH., and that's it!

I loved the "hidden shimmer" in this one, but it was very subtle, but I really enjoyed how shiny the sorbet made the polish, yum, yum, sorbet goodness.

Have you tried layering your OPI Texas Sorbets?

My First Barry M

I received my first Barry M color in a recent international swap and I was so happy.  I previously had not had a chance to get my hands on this brand, I was giddy when I saw it in the package.

Barry M "Indigo", 2 coats

I decided to decorate my ring finger with some "Zoya dots" made with "Mira", "Keiko" and "Areej".

This Barry M color was awesome! Definitely made my top 10 favorite polishes.  It is a true indigo creme, so bright and regal, and the formula definitely delivered.

I loved this manicure, and I was so unhappy to take it off, it wore well too, all I had was tip wear, no chips and I day 4 looked great!

I'd love to tell all my American ladies that there is a dupe, but I can't think of one, at least not in my stash.  I think this color is in a league of it's own.
