My Hunger Games Manicure!

Today I ma going with my friends to see the Hunger Games, and I am so excited.  I've read Book 1 and Book 2, and am currently struggling with Book 3.  It's just not as exciting as the first 2 books, but I am "hell bound to finish.:)

So here is my manicure, super easy since ya'll know I am not good at nail art...or maybe you don't know, because I never show it, because it sucks, LOL!

I used China Glaze "Liquid Leather", "Mega Bite", and from the Hunger Games Collection "Electrify".

I started off with 2 layers of Liquid Leather (except the accent nail), then added "Electrify" at the tips, to give it a "glitter gradient effect." I see a couple bald spots, which tells me I should have used 3 coats of liquid leather, but I was so excited to see how this was going to turn out, I got lazy and didn't want to do it, Oh well! :P

For the accent nail, I did 1 coat of "Mega Bite" from the Tronica Collection, and then 2 coats of "Electrify".

In order to smooth out the glitter, I used 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Seche Vite to dry it all. :) Easy peasy!

Happy Hunger Games!

Blue Glittah Baby!!!!

Yep, I've fallen back in love with glitter, and my new favorite brand with great glitters is Dare to Wear!

Check this one out...

I layered 2 coats of Dare to Wear "Dancing Shoes"over 1 coat of NYC "Empire State Blue". I always layer a glitter over another color to help with removal, Empire State Blue was a perfect match as a base color. :)

Love this, look at it! The different shapes and sizes are sparkle "dancing" together perfectly!  The D2W applied nicely and the glitter was not difficult to "place", in fact no special techniques required, just brushed it on!

Now this did not dry smoothly, so I have to do the usual...2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of Seche Vite!

I loved this so much, I decided to "mattify" it with 1 coat of China Glaze "Matte Magic", and I loved it even more...

When you apply a matte top coat to a glitter, it takes away the shine and sparkle, but delivers all the great shapes and detail that glitters have to offer!

I wore this manicure the entire week and I was never happier to wear one color for so long  :)

GlitterDaze "Pure Seduction"

Hey there, well I am still recovering from polish shopping on etsy last night, and since I did not get any of the colors I wanted, here is another beauty from a shop in etsy that is still available!

GlitterDaze is a cute little shop with amazing "indie" polishes and this color caught my eye!

GlitterDaze
"Pure Seduction"
2 coats

This polish is amazing, the glitter, the colors, it was awesome on the nail.  2 coats was opaque for me, and it dried with the usual grittiness of a glitter.  So I layered 2 coats of Gelous over it with an added coat of Seche Vite to dry, and it was smooth sailing after that!

I wore this color during one of my busy weeks, and it lasted, chip free, for 4 days. Love that!!!!!

The only draw back to this polish, and it's small..is that fact that she only sells polishes in small/mini bottles. With colors like this, I need a big bottle, because I plan on wearing this color, again, again, and again!

But until then, grab your mini bottle HERE for $4.50. Also check out her other color "One Grape Love", it's super pretty!

Hungry Asian "Sneeze Breeze"

Happy Monday All!  After a week of wearing nothing but greens, my nails are super stained. I had no idea greens stained so badly, I felt like a real Leprechaun, LOL!!

So now I'm back to my favorite color, BLUE!

Today I have a great "indie" polish from The Hungry Asian, "Sneeze Breeze". The Hungry Asian is a fellow blogger, and a while back decided to start making her own polish, and I for one, am happy that she did!

Okay, to start off with because this is a super strong litter, I layered another color under it, so the manicure would look more opaque and also to help with removal. I used  China Glaze "Blue Sparrow", which is a perfect match on the blue!

I used 1 coat of the Blue Sparrow, and then 2 coats of Sneeze Breeze.

"Sneeze Breeze is a matte blue and black fine glitter in a clear base. With topcoat, it does have a shiny overall finish but the glitter itself does not sparkle. "

I love this polish, it is so pretty and unique and like most glitters it wears like IRON, but don't be fooled by it's TAME looks, it is a glitter MONSTER, and eats topcoats for breakfast! LOL! :)

Because it was bumpy and I topped this manicure with the following: Gelous,  then more Gelous, then Seche Vite. Then in the morning, because I still had bumps, I topped it all off with "Out The Door"...whew!!

Did that last top coat, finally do it?...YES!!!!

Was it worth it...YES!!!!!

So pretty! You can get this beauty at The Hungry Asian Etsy Shop, or directly on her blog, HERE

Take a bite out of this GREEN manicure!

I don't know what else to call it, LOL, it's green and it' my manicure, LOL! :)

Sinful "Last Chance" and Zoya "Apple".

1 coat of Sinful "Last Chance" and 1 coat of Zoya "Apple".

Sinful "Last Chance" is a really nice deep green creme. Applied nicely and 1 coat is all I needed. Zoya "Apple" is a light apple green shimmer with added green and gold sparkle, very nice on it's own, but layered it really brings "the spark."

This manicure had serious "glow" to it!

Apple has this great golden apple appeal to it, and once it was layered over the Sinful, the darker depth of the Sinful really made Apple POP!!! :)

I topped this with my usual OPI Top Coat and then a final coat of Seche Vite. :) Check it out in the shade...

Woo Hoo! I hope everyone has a safe and very GREEN St. Patrick's Day!!!!
