Hey all...today I have 2 holidays colors from Laquerlicious.
First up....
Laquerlicious
"Christmas Garland"
2 coats, with top coat
"Christmas Garland" is a limited edition polish part of her Winter White Jelly's Collection (the other 2 colors are "Christmas Morning" and "Christmas Snowfall". This polish has a white jelly base with every shade of red, magenta, pink, light pink, light green and silver glitter.
This polish reminds me of sugar sprinkles on cookies...I LOVE sprinkles, they are instant FUN in a jar!!!
This was perfectly opaque in 2 coats and the glitter went on smoothly, no need to "place" the glitter on the nail. I love how she strayed from only using red and green glitter to convey "the holidays" and added pinks and magenta glitter to the mix, it really made this polish stand out.
I used 1 coat of top coat over this to make it shine, but it wasn't perfectly smooth so I think 2 coats of top coat will do the trick :) By far this brand has the best white jelly formula, it is perfectly opaque in 2 coats, simply perfect! :)
Next up...
Laquerlicious
"Tree Topper"
1 coat over a white base color, with top coat.
"Tree Topper" has a sheer pink duo-chrome base with large and small white matte, silver and iridescent glitter. It is pretty sheer on it's own but layered over another colors, it's snowy and pretty! :)
Here it is again over Zoya "Kristen", 1 coat each, with top coat.
This is my favorite combo. Here it is in indirect light, so you can see the glitter detail.
I love this combination, it is sooo pretty and is the perfect "Winter Wonderland" kind of manicure! :) This glitter went on very easy and did not clump up or drag onto the nail. Perfect glitter application, too :)
Next, I tried it with China Glaze "Refresh-Mint", 1 coat each, with top coat.
In indirect light...
I love "Tree Topper" over faint colors, it really brings out the glitter detail and makes everything look frosty and ready for the holidays!
"Tree Topper" is the one to get, this looks amazing over almost any color, like the seasons first snow. On her site she layered it over black and red, that is why I decided to do it over lighter colors, so overall it is an amazing topper. :)
"Laquerlicious lacquers are 3 free, which means they do not contain toluene, formaldehyde or dibutyl phthalate. They are made from high quality, cosmetic grade glitter. Even though the base lets very little glitter settle to the bottom, some settling will occur. Each bottle contains 3 stainless steel balls. For best result, please shake well before using."
Laquerlicious has a lot of fun colors, I have my eyes one "Speckled Punch", "Fancy Concrete" and "Christmas Snowfall". The polishes are $8.50 for a full sized bottle or she has several; mini bottle combos for $15, $25 and $50. Also check out their Facebook page.
Here's to hoping that these fall in my stocking this year :)
