Smashbox and Apothica Giveaway **CLOSED****

Smashbox, we all have heard of them, and their awesome brand of cosmetics, but my favorite item isn't exactly makeup its pre-makeup.

I use and LOVE Smashbox Photo Finish Oil-Free Foundation Primer.  This stuff is awesome. You apply it before you apply your foundation or in my case my "tinted moisturizer" and watch it work!

This product is water based, so it hydrates and feels fresh and clean the instant you apply it to your skin.
It is offered in a tube and in a glass jar with a pump.  I like the one in the tube, because when you get down to the end, it is easier to get the last of the product out :)

You squirt out some of the product.  It is white in the tube, but once applied and spread across the face it is clear.

Once smoothed across the face it dries to a matte finish that is very soft to the touch, and goes on very light.  It does not feel heavy on the face at all.  After this apply  your foundation and makeup as usual, trust me, after you use this fabulous product once YOU WILL BE HOOKED!!!

Another favorite thing about this primer, is that because it caused my foundation to glide on so well, I used less foundation to achieve and almost effortless application...PERFECT!:)

You can find this online at my new favorite store Apothica.com

So to help facilitate a beauty purchase for my followers Apothica.com is offering a gift card to YOU that can be used at their online stores, SkinCareRx.com, Apothica.com, and SkinBotanica.com  . Woo Hoo!!!

Diamond Cosmetics

Happy Valentine's Day, I have some pretties from Diamond Cosmetics for you today :) <3

Since love is in the air, let me tell you about my "loves"... I love DC polishes, they are the BEST, CHEAP Brand of nail color!!

I probably shouldn't say this because they will raise their prices...LOL, but they have the best polishes, best formula for the cheapest price ($2.50 a pop)...AWESOME!

Here are my 2 new colors from them.

Diamond Cosmetics
"Sparkling Sherry"
2 coats

Gorgeous red metallic foil (with a little pink), that goes on perfectly, no issues.  The funny thing is, that when you see the bottle the silver foil and the red foil look "unmixed", but when you open the bottle and brush it on the nail , it's perfect.  Not bush strokey, not streaky...perfect! So if you get this color, don't freak out when you get the bottle, LOL :)

Diamond Cosmetics
"Monarch Masquerade"
2 coats

Gorgeous purple shimmer with a red base.  It is seriously so pretty and screams MARDI GRAS!

It's a Mardi Gras kind of purple! :) No issues, I think this one is going on my toes next :)

So here is my plea to Diamond Cosmetics, "I love your polish, your formula and your price, so please do not raise the price to an exorbitant amount like your competitors! :) You are the last polish that makes it affordable to look good. LOL".:)"  Love always, Jackie S.

Skin Care Review

Hello my lovelies its FRIDAY! Woo Hoo!

This week has been very stressful at wok and I am so happy I have the next 2 days off :)

Luckily even though I felt stressed I didn't look stressed because of this wonderful product by Reviva Labs.

Reviva Essential Fatty Acid Cream

1.5 ounces
$25.00

"Reviva Labs announces a skin care first; a cream to fight or help prevent thin, delicate skin! It features a blend of 10 different Omega-3 & Omega-6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) from plants. We discovered that EFAs are a major factor in the fullness, bounce and thickness we see in youthful skin. Over the years, loss of EFAs affects cell membrane structure, resulting in skin becoming dry, hard, thin and more easily bruised. Reviva has united 10 different oils (sunflower, flaxseed, borage, rosehip, hemp, avocado, wheat germ, black currant seed, olive and sesame seed) that work side by side - each utilizing the presence of the other to fully live up to their potential. All in a light cream for easy absorption - instead of a rich, heavy cream. Our EFAs Cream can benefit those who already have thin skin, but can also be used to prevent skin from becoming thin. Our EFAs cream helps various levels of dry skin and provides a fuller, smoother, younger look on both face and hands."

This cream is awesome people, and you don't have to HAVE "thin delicate skin" to use it, it also can be used to prevent "thin delicate skin", day and night..check it out...

It is a rich soft yellow cream that has a great consistency, creamy and smooth, but not too rich that it doesn't absorb into the skin. Lately here in Southern California we have been getting a lot of high winds and that can leave the air very dry and your skin even drier.  This cream has helped combat that by leaving my skin soft and hydrated..at least it looks hydrated...LOL :)

I like to apply this on my face after Ive washed it and applied any other treatments, then I apply this in one smooth layer and wait 5 minutes for it to absorb in.

Absorbs nicely an doesn't leave a shiny residue :) After that I apply a smaller amount again (for good measure) and that's it!

Happy Skin, Happy Face, Happy Me :):)...and right now Reviva Labs is having a Valentines Day Deal!!

Happy Friday and take are everyone!

Blue, purple, green duo-chromey comparison :)

You know the saying, "You've seen one, you've seen them all", well I thought this was true most of the time, but it's not always true... and definitely DOES NOT apply to nail polish...can I hear an AMEN!

I grabbed:
Zoya "Ki"
Nubar "Peacock Feathers"
OPI "Glacier Bay Blues"
GOSH "Purple Heart"

All 3 coats

The Zoya and the GOSH are very similar and both have an icy purple tone with flashes of green.  The Nubar has a great blue base that slightly leans green  with flashes of purple and green.  The OPI has a deeper blue base with a great purple and green  duo-chrome, gorgeous!

The Nubar is the most sheer out of the 4, but nothing that would bother anyone.  My favorites are the O.P.I. and the Zoya, the formula and color are "spot on" for both.

See the great green flash they all deliver, awesome! I love polishes that have this, I guess that's why I have 4 of them..LOL!

The Zoya and the GOSH are very close, let's take another look!

Yeah I can definitely say to all my nail heads, that if you do not have the GOSH, get the Zoya.  You won't be disappointed. :)

New Lippmann's for SPRING!!!

New Spring Shade Are Here!

"I've been waiting for this day- launch of my spring 2001 collection and so have many of you (patiently since you saw them on the runway at Richie Rich, Adam and Badgley Mischka).
GLITTER IN THE AIR (a sky blue confetti) and NAKED ( a clean bare beige) are now available. I hope you love them as much as I do! - deborah"

GLITTER IN THE AIR
was part customer request and part Pink's magical performance at the Grammy Awards.
Floating through the air, wrapped in a sheer body suit with sparkles.
I wanted to capture that ethereal moment in a bottle.

 NAKED
is the perfect nude beige, "the modern way to wear a nude nail."
Giving women another neutral nail option, NAKED's sheer beige color is turning out to be the most in-demand shade for spring 2011
Nude beige is replacing sheer pink as the nail color of choice for spring.

You can find of of these at Deborah Lippmann

I can tell you with ALL certainty that Glitter in the air will be in my hot little hands very soon...LOL
*running to Nordstroms...now* :P

All Hail The Queen

Thank You, Thank You loyal subjects...LOL..wait are you serious:?....this polish wasn't named for me?...LOL..I'm a nut!

Well I scored this little beauty at my local Planet Beauty. They were having a 20% off everything in the store sale, and if you bought a nail polish you got a Zoya nail color for free.( I picked up Julieanne)

So here she is , "All Hail The Queen", 3 coats.

I love this shimmer in this color, its so subtle, yet it makes a BIG statement in the sunlight.  This went on very easy, and only 2 coats were really needed.  The formula was smooth and I had no issues.

The base is a taupe creme with undertones of mauve, and this one had my mother drooling over my nails...this is her kind of color.:)..I reminded her that she was not getting my bottle, but I promised her I would hunt down another. :)

It reminded me a lot of Color Club "Lov'em or Leav'em", so I decided to do a little comparison

Both 3 coats: All Hail The Queen, Lov'em or Leav'e'm, All Hail The Queen, Love'm or Leave'm.

Lov'em is another great neutral with holographic glitter but with yellow undertones.  Queen's glitter is finer and its base has more mauve undertones.  Both are gorgeous and I need them both....nuff said!

Pretty ain't it?!  I'm in love with this one, mostly because its NOT soooo holo that it takes away from the actual color.

The holo is very flat, and not bumpy at all.  To get the bright blue color I used Revlon "Royal" as my base.:)

Recently, I saw a pic of Sancion Angel "Luna" on Nihrida's blog  HERE, and it reminded me of my franken :)
