I did mine free-hand, and it isn't as bad as you think.
I started off wearing Diamond Cosmetics "Silver Brocade", 2 coats with Poshe top coat. It had been three days and I was showing signs of "tip-wear", but didn't want to take it off, so......
I covered it with Rimmel "Black Satin".
See not too bad...right?
What is your favorite way to "extend" a manicure?

You did a great job. I tried this once, and my "moons" were all different shapes and sizes. I like to extend my manis by painting the tip a complimentary color and adding a white line separating the two like I did here (http://anotherbottleofpolish.blogspot.com/2010/04/extending-mani.html)

I'm such a color ho...I don't extend anything. I just take that sucka off. LOL.
I just painted a coat of complimenting glitter over my mani, plus a thick coat of fast-dry topcoat. :D
@ another bottle of polish- In all honesty, I didn't try it on my dominant hand, I imagine my moons on that hand would have been CRAZY :P

I usually add glitter or turn it into a french mani.This looks lovely :)
Its fabulous! I need to try a ruffian. I often times will layer a complimentary sheer topcoat with glitter, holo or flakie effects if I want to extend it out.
It's very cute. I haven't gotten around to try this method yet. While you were out and about I'm sure you got lots of compliments :)
