Zoya Ornate Collection, Holiday 2012: Swatches and Review

Yes, I know there have already been a lot of swatches of the Ornate Collection, I too received these from Zoya PR almost a month ago. I wanted to swatch this collection when it was closer to the holidays, because it is the epitome of Holiday Sparkle!

First up is...

"Blaze"
2 coats, no top coat

Hotness! This cranberry stunner is packed with holographic glitter. This polish is super saturated with pigment  amazing! Also over the last couple of years Zoya's polish formula has changed. It has become more thick and more "gel like", which mean application is easier.

"Electra"
2 coats, no top coat

Shocking!  blurry shot for the sparkle freaks out there, LOL :)

Tinsel anyone? This color is silver holographic bar glitter in a clear base. I did 2 coats over a nude nail so you can see how much glitter you get with 2 coats, it's almost opaque!

"Ziv"
2 coats, no top coat

Expensive! In indirect lighting...

This gold foil polish is amazing and I love how it's not all one shade of gold, but has different colors of yellow gold, white gold and antique gold.  Perfect application in 2 coats.

"Storm"
2 coats, no top coat

Dangerous! Black creme base with silver holographic glitter, who can say NO to this color...not me! This applied perfectly smooth and super easy, just amazing!

"Aurora"
3 coats, no top coat

Riveting! At 2 coats this color just was not bottle accurate for me, the 3rd coat made ALL the difference! It is perfect at 3 coats, or you can do 2 thick-ish coats, it's up to you! :)

"Logan"
2 coats, no top coat

Lush! This green is amazing! Logan is more of a foil than a shimmer, but it still deliver amazing evergreen and gold shimmer, while still applying smooth and effortlessly. :)

Overall, I'd say the must haves are Blaze, Storm and Aurora. They are amazing! All the polish applied great, the formula was smooth and easy to apply, no pooling or goopy layers. And they all dried smooth, no grit!  :)

Oh my, how in the hell are your swatches so much better than everyone else's. I had resolved to not buying these, because, while pretty, they weren't that impressive. But now I feel that I NEED Blaze and Aurora, and maybe even Storm. Amazing swatches, seriously. :)
