Recently (in the last 3 weeks) there was a blogger who did a great post about top coats, and she compared the top brands we all use (i.e. Seche Vite, INM, China Glaze, Poshe etc.) but I can't find the post now..UUGGGHHH!
This is always a problem for me because I follow SOOOOO many nail blogs.Do you remember the post? or are you the awesome blogger who did it?
Please let me know, I need to re-read it and send a link to another blogger friend of mine :)
UPDATE: Scandalous and L found it for me, Thanks Chicas.
It's by Helen and Sheenie of just nice things, and it is a very good comparison of top coats, HERE
Because of this post i just switched from Seche Vite to INM "Out the Door", I'll let you know what I think :)
Happy Friday!

I'm green, I'm green
"I'm green, I'm green, I'm green...you know what I mean?"...what cartoon was that from? or maybe it was "I'm mean"..oh well....Earworm!!!!! LOL!
UPDATE: Thanks to JQ for finding this on youtube..You rock!
Well anyway, now that I've survived the RBL and Zoya sales, I am now in the mood for my other favorite polish I like to order in big bunches, Diamond Cosmetics.
This brand is awesome, $2.25 a bottle and their formula and colors are fantastic. So of course when I order, I order in big bunches, and my office mates join in too!
You can't beat these little bottles of joy, plus they make perfect stocking stuffers :):)
So here is a color I ordered a year ago and I am just now trying it out, I'm a dork, and I love it!
In low light it almost looks like a grey/green granite, but in the sunlight it comes to life...welcome to fall! :)

O.B.A.G: Oldie But A Goodie
Here is an old polish of mine that I know is very sought after. If I had known at the time that this polish was as fabulous as it is, I would have bought the entire collection.
Sally Hansen
Nail Prisms "Ruby Emerald"
2 coats
I tried to capture the green, but I still have overcast and I could not get a good shot. But what I did capture is how CRAZY the shimmer is, look at the bottle shot, you can see the shimmer and the green near the bottom. It's gorgeous!
I bought this polish while I was living in Chicago and gong to law school. I had just discovered dark plum polish and that was all I bought, this one caught my eye at my local Walgreen's and I bought it.
It is a gorgeous plum shimmer with green and gold duo chrome shimmer.
Because I had forecast I decided to re-swatch it when the sun came out the following week.

This polish has sparkle that is soo pretty and jewel like...and the prismatic effect does exist on the nail but every time I tried to photograph it, it goes away...LOL. Just keep looking at the bottle pic and that is what you get on he nail.
So pretty, now all I have to do is find a travel time machine and go back in time and buy the rest LOL.
What polish would you travel back in time for?

Comparison: Vampy Reds
I've been crazy busy this weekend with work, so I have some older comparison post I did, and never posted :)
So here it is a comparison of all my vampy reds and the funny thing is, once they were all on, I couldn't really tell a big difference..LOL!
Thumb: Pure Ice "Scandal" 3 coats cream
Index: RGB "Ox Blood" 3 coats jelly
Middle: OPI "William Tell Me All About It" 2 coats cream
Ring: OPI "Lincoln Park After Dark" 2 coats cream
Pinkie" Sally Hansen "Pat On The Black" 2 coats cream
See what I mean? Damn the clouds, I need some sun!!!!!!
I mean... the RGB looks lighter, but that's because its a jelly, otherwise, they are all Twinkies. in this lighting, OYE VAY!
So I re-swatched them once the sun came out the following week.
Much better and I cut my nails they were getting long :)
The 2 OPI's are near dupes on the nail, even though in the bottle "William Tell looks lighter. The Old Pure Ice and RGB are near dupes, except for the fact that the RGB is a jelly. Either way they are all filled with Vampy goodness. I love'm all!

DT Sally Hansen Nail Prisms
I flew to my local Dollar Tree when I heard the news that they had Nail Prisms, who wouldn't ??
For 2 weeks I cased out my 3 favorite/only DT's and hit Nail Prisms Pay Dirt!
First up, Sally Hansen Nail Prisms "Golden Cinnabar"
2 coats
Beautiful warm golden brown with flashes of pink and yellow gold. Applied nicely, opaque in 2 coats, no complaints.
I didn't think I would like this color when I saw it in the store or when I saw it on other bloggers sites, but I love it on my hands. The rose color really comes out nicely! :)
But in in-direct light the gold comes out....its so pretty in person.
Love it!
Next up are the other two colors which are too thin for my taste!
Cinnabar Opal, 3 coats
Lavender, 3 coats
The flashes of colors are outstanding on both these polishes, but they are entirely too thin for my taste. I may try layering them over a nude or other colors, before I stick them in the swap bin :)
What do you think? Happy Friday! :);)

Fall leaves....
We don't really get fall leaves on the ground in Southern California so I figured I would re-do the effect on my nails.
2 layers of OPI "Cuckoo for this color" and 1 layer of Sally Hansen "Hidden Treasure".
See, looks kinda like leaves on the ground...right? I loved this manicure and hated taking it off, so perfect for fall.
Look at that shimmer! "Cuckoo for this color" is a great deep green that leans blue. It's deep, rich and shimmery...gorgeous and HT added the perfect "fall glitz" I needed! :)
All this was topped with one coat of Seche Vite and I was off and running, do you like?

Nars "Tokaido Express'
NARS "Tokaido Express"...great fall color, nuff said...
I didn't need 3 coats, but I was so love with this color, I wanted to build it up, then I topped it off with 1 coat of Seche Vite. :)
It's a shimmery wine colored brown, that in certain light looks like a deep purple.
Great shimmer, awesome color!
I really like the quality of this polish, it's easy to handle, no pooling, and the color has depth with all the shimmer and layers of color, so pretty!
Next, I need to get my hands on NARS "Purple Rain" :)

Halloweeny Nails and my giveaway winner!!!!
Okay so first we have the winner to my LA Colors Metallic Set giveaway and after using random.org, #2
was picked and that was:
Congratulations Helen, I've sent an email so please respond so I can get your pretties in the mail.
Now on to the pretty nails.
I used:
1 coat of CG-Liquid Leather on each nail, and then I followed with 1 coat each, individually, of the 3 polishes from the Awakening Halloween Collection
I think I like them over black then on their own. :) Especially Zombie Zest over black, love it!
I was going to make this my manicure for Halloween, but it wasn't spooky enough so I decided it was cute but not spooky, right?
UPDATED:
Because my friends know I have so many colors and a slight obsession with nail polish, they always expect me to bring it BIG, so I couldn't disappoint. Here it is!
2 coats of Zoya Jancyn, topped with 1 coat of IsaDora graffiti and 1 coat of Seche Vite :)
I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween :) I figured out a great way to get the candy you want and not trick or treat with the kids. Buy a bunch of candy that the kids like (my niece and nephew and their friends all love peanut butter cups) and then trade with them for the candy you like that they have collected...smart huh!
Oh yeah, I was the hit of the night!! In fact the kids requested that I do this again next year...woo hoo, pay dirt baby!
