VROOM, VROOM - OPI Mustang Collection, Swatches and Review

Ladies....start your ENGINES! Last summer OPI released their collaboration collection with Ford, for the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang!

There are 6 colors, in the collection and I am sure there is one that you will love...maybe two! :)

Starting off with...my favorite, the BLUE one!

OPI "The Sky's My Limit"
3 coats, no top coat

I LOVE this color, but I hate how it photographs! The first picture, is not at all how it looks on he nail, the nail line is not visible.

The second picture is how it looks.  It is a a metallic blue shimmer, with blue, green and gold flecks. It reminds me of OPI "Catch Me If You Can", but this leans more blue, whereas CMIYC leans more teal green.

The third picture is in in-direct lighting. Here you can see the flecks and shimmer. Because I knew this was going to photograph sheer, I did 3 coats, but you only need 2 coats for full opacity.

OPI "Race Red"
2 coats, no top coat

Not really "red" and not really "orange".  This was a red / orange creme. It was smooth and applied well, opaque in 2 coats, no issues. This type of color looks great on my skin, but it does NOT remind me of a "Race" or a Mustang, LOL!

OPI "50 Years of Style"
2 coats, no top coat

This is a gorgeous gold! Even Though it is "brush stroke-y", it tries to a nice, burnished shine. This gold is NOT brassy, and is subtle and soft enough for everyday use. I used 2 coats, and it applied well. No issues.

OPI "Queen Of The Road"
2 coats, no top coat

"Queen Of The Road" is black with a frosty silver shimmer.  At different angles you can even see some pink and gold in it. This colors remind me of a newly paved black road. Dark and deep, but with a hint of metallic flecks from rocks, metal and debris. I like it, and although the first coat applied patchy, once a minute passed the second coat applied like butter.

OPI "Angel With A Leadfoot"
2 coats, no top coat

This is obviously a white creme. Nothing exciting, except for the fact that I use white polish the most, so having another white creme is always a good thing. :) This applied well in 2 coats, simple and easy, no fuss.

OPI "Girls Love Ponies"
2 coats, no top coat

This is a pretty pink creme. It applied well in 2 coats, no issues and it dried to a shiny finish.

Which one is my favorite?..DUH! OPI "The Sky's My Limit", but I think "Queen Of The Road" is the most unique.

Which one do you like? What color, would you like to have seen in the collection?

Barielle "My Week Away"

Hello, I have a pretty pink number for ya today.  Now, you know I am not a fan of pink, but this one is so pretty and has a fabulous green shimmer to it, that I had to share it today.

Barielle "My Week Away"
2 coats, no top coat

This is from Barielle's "Velvets Collection" from Spring 2014.  It is a dusty pink with green shimmer. It applied well in two coats, and dried to a nice shine.  I am not a fan of pinks, but I love hidden shimmer. The green shimmer is not overwhelming, and really sparkles in the light.

This color is feminine and light, and the added green shimmer really makes it stand out in my collection.  This color is still available at Barielle.com HERE

I suggest you get it for this Spring before it's gone

KBShimmer Fall 2014 Swatches and Review

KBShimmer released an amazing Fall collection in 2014.  It was so amazing, that I am still rocking some of the colors today, and you should too!

KBShimmer "Hugs And Wishes"
2 coats, no top coat

This amazing lilac periwinkle WONDER is gorgeous, and I plan on rocking this in the Spring. This applied smoothly in two coat, no complaints.

KBShimmer "How You Dune?"
2 coats, no top coat

This is a gorgeous greige (grey + beige) creme. A definite staple in any woman's nail polish arsenal.  This is a gorgeous and chic neutral, if you don't have it?...GET IT!

KBShimmer " Stonewashed"
1 coat, no top coat

A muted blue one coater...YES! Normally I would apply two coats for every polish, but since this is a one coater, it deserves an honorable mention.  I like one coaters, because they play the "perfect base" for glitters that require a base color...and they are also perfect for that last minute manicure! One coat and you are out the door!

KBShimmer "Kiss And Spell"
2 coats on a bare nail and over "How You Dune?".

This glitter topper is fun, fun, fun...in a bottle! I know this is meant for Halloween, but it reminds me of the perfect super hero costume. Amazing colors This has a clear base with yellow, orange, black, purple and lime green glitters in amazing shapes and sizes.  The best way to apply this, is by dabbing the brush on the nail. That way you get perfect glitter placement.

KBShimmer "Up And Cunning"
2 coats, no top coat

"Up And Cunning" is Stunning!  The formula on this is amazing. It's not thin AT ALL, great consistency and applied well in two coats. This is a nice teal holographic color.

KBShimmer " Rust No One"
2 coats, no top coat

Rusty goodness! This is a rust colored holographic polish, that applied smoothly in two coats. If you would have asked me years ago,  if I wanted a rust colored holo polish, I would have said nope.  Bur, after seeing this beauty, all I can say is YES, YES, YES!

KBShimmer "Jack"
2 coats, no top coat

Jack is a re-release, and it needs to come back every year!  Jack has a black jelly base with orange and black glitter.  The black glitter is hidden in the pictures, but when you apply the first coat you can see them.  I wore Jack in October and review it then, HERE

KBShimmer "A Raisin To Live"
2 coats, no top coat

This is a deep plum wine jelly loaded with holographic glitter. It applied smoothly given the fact that it is chocked full of glitter.  It went on perfectly opaque in two coats.

KBShimmer "You Go Ghoul"
2 coats, no top coat

Boo! This color is a lot of fun!  I love glitter polishes that have purple and orange, it's the best of both worlds. This has a lovely black jelly base with orange, indigo and purple glitter. Applied opaque in two coats, no issues.

KBShimmer "Flannel Surfing"
2 coats, no top coat

This reminds me of a super soft turtle neck sweater, warm and fuzzy.  This has a fabulous light blue base with orange, white, blue and silver glitter. Opaque in two coats, with no issues.

KBShimmer "Leaf of Faith"
2 coats, no top coat

LOVE! This has a red jelly base with red, orange and gold glitter.  It's on FIRE!  This is amazingly opaque n two coats and has amazing glitter pay off. Gorgeous!

My favorites are "Stonewashed", "A Raisin To Love" and the bonus color "You Go Ghoul".

The Fall 2014 Collection is available at KBShimmer.com, prices range from $7.50-$8.75.  And for you international gals, you can find these beauties at Harlow & Co!

Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Launches ME's Bejeweled Collection for F/W2014

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a joyous and celebratory holiday. Now...BACK TO WORK! LOL!

Yep, it's time to get back to the grindstone, and I'm stating off the new year by enjoying some fall favorites.

Dermelect released these beauties in the Fall of 2014 and they are gorgeous! In fact I'm wearing on of them now, and I still love it!

Deremelect " Gilded"
2 coats, no top coat

I just did the dishes, so my nail are a bit "wide", but the color is definitely "on point".  "Gilded" is a textured patina gold polish with a green duochrome flash.   The texture isn't as rough as "Zoya Pixies", it is more smooth. Almost "bumpy" rather than "gritty".  Perfectly opaque in 2 coats.

Here are some shots in indirect lighting.

Dermelect "Heirloom"
2 coats, no top coat

"Heirloom" is a metallic royal sapphire shimmer, and it is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!  I've worn this twice and I am in LOVE!  This is more indigo, than sapphire, but the color and the shine are perfect.  This went on well, no issues and was perfectly opaque in 2 coats.

Dermelect "Belle Epoque"
2 coats, no top coat

"Belle Epoque" is a dark chocolate creme.  They describe it as "deep smoky quartz creme", but it's dark chocolate, LOL!  It is very pretty and went on well in 2 coats, however I feel like I have several polishes his color, so this one didn't thrill me as much as the others.

Dermelect "Lustrous"
2 coats, no top coat

"Lustrous" is a sparkling cranberry wine color, but more brick than red. I wanted to love this polish, but the color fell a bit "flat" for me. They describe it as a "sparkling cognac", but cognac is more brown.  Both of my parents are cognac drinkers, so I know what cognac looks like, LOL. I personally prefer vodka. :)

The sparkle in this polish is gorgeous, but it took three coats for me to get it opaque.  My favorites are "Heirloom" and "Gilded".

Dermelect retails for $14.00 - $16.00 and can be purchased online at www.dermelect.com and at high-end apothecaries, beauty boutiques, salons, spas, medi-spas and doctors offices.
