Okay so while I was shopping the day after Christmas, I (of course) stalked the Chanel polish "Black Pearl" at my local Nordies, and of course with my money burning a hole in my pocket ....as soon as I saw it, I grabbed it and off I ran!!!
Here it is 2 coats, 1 coat of Seche Vite and 0 complaints!!! :)
Gorgeous! This polish made my sad lil' nubbins, VERY VERY happy! Then I decided to compare Chanel's "Black Pearl", to my black pearl pendant.
Not bad, pretty darn close Chanel..I'm impressed! The color is a phenomenal blackened grey with a fabulous, yet very slight, green shimmer, very much like the kind you would find on a black pearl.
This is definitely one to pick up.
In the pics the polish looks more green than it appears on the hand, in person it is VERY close to the actual pearl in the pics.
I am very happy that Chanel did not release another "blackened whatever" color, that just looks black on the hands, they actually produced something that is truly blackened without being black..BRAVO!
For me this polish was $24.90 (w/tax) just 10 cents shy of my $25 limit...I swear if Chanel decides to go up in price more, I may have to shoot myself, I CAN NOT spend more than $25 on polish, that's insane!
Happy New Year everyone! :)

My Kahava + Giveaway!!! CLOSED
GIVEAWAY CLOSED!
Today I don't have any nails, but I have a very cool product that I have been sportin all over town for the past month! KAHAVA
Kahava is the cool version of the fanny pack...but way, way cooler! It's a sash that you wear across your body, and it has inside pockets for money and credit cards and outside pockets for cell phones, iPods, GPS, and anything else that can fit in the pockets. This was invented because the owners daughter is deathly allergic to peanuts and he had to carry her medicine on him at all times...thus the birth of the Kahava, Here is the rest of the story
The outside pockets are secured by velcro and buckled fasteners! I was given this product for free, because the owner found me on the UCLA facebook page, and they have a UCLA Bruin collegiate Kahava, so they asked me to try it out. I loved it so much I offered to write a review, thats' how much I love this product!!
Here I am wearing the Kahava in medium. There is a big patch of Velcro that secures the Kahava to you, so you can adjust the size depending if you wear it under a jacket or over a jacket
So I'm sure your wondering, "How much stuff can you fit in them?"..well let me show you...
In the window pocket I could fit my cell phone (Motorola droid pro) or my iPod classic!
In the closed pocket (which is the same size as the window pocket) I had this...
Lip-gloss, cuticle pen (of course), metal tin of aspirin, and Excedrin and a small round thingy of lotion. There was room for more, but that's all I had in there!
Then there are the 2 inside pockets which lay against your body away from possible "pick pocket fingers"
The large pocket has compartments for bills and 4 credit cards slots.
In the smaller inner pocket I had these...
My mini tin of Altoids and some receipts/coupons...oh and my car keys (not pictured) :)
So I know you are wondering where I have worn this...I'll tell you...I've taken it:
~Shopping
~My niece and nephews soccer games
~Nail polish shopping, I need all my hands free! LOL!
~To the jewelry/beading show
~Black Friday shopping
~After Christmas shopping
Basically anywhere you are going and you don't want to worry about the hassle of having a purse on your shoulder, this is the product for you. Seriously everywhere I went people asked me about this product and I told them everything I knew, so I just had to write a review for you. :)
This is also perfect for the Casino, Amusement Parks, Ball Parks, Concerts and perfect for new mothers that have to struggle with a diaper bag and newborn...just sling this across your body and you've got all the important things close at hand...perfect! Finally my holiday nubbins...
As with most holidays that including, baking, shopping and wrapping, my nails took a beating.
So here they are, my holiday nubbins...LOL :)
3 coats of Orly "Meet me under the mistletoe", topped with 2 coat of Seche Vite.
This green is soo deep and awesome and the golden green shimmer is gorgeous!
I broke my thumb nail while moving some heavy packages around and well that set off a chain reaction that end with me having to cut the whole crew "down to size"
I have to admit, that after "the break", my short nubbin made the baking and wrapping a whole lot easier! LOL! (this is my attempt at seeing the bright side of things)
I was skeptical of this polish when I first saw it, I mean I love China Glaze's "Emerald Sparkle", so I didn't think anything could top it, but this set a new standard to holiday polish, it's smooth, deep yet sparkly, and it's just simply pretty! A+++++

My wet weekend..
This weekend sucked, it rained SOOOO much here in Southern California, and we still have 3 more days to go!
So yesterday I baked 24 loaves of pumpkin bread with walnuts and I am exhausted!!! It's our family recipe and we make it every year for the holidays and give it out to friends, co-workers and family!
Its fun, but I am so over it now...LOL!
We bake them in coffee cans and when wrapped in foil, they look like giant bullets..LOL.
So generally when I give them as gifts I wrap them like this...
Aren't they cute!
So here is my manicure AFTER baking 24 loaves...
2 coats of OPI "Lucerne-tainly look marvelous" topped with Seche Vite...not bad! I normally would have done 3 coats, but I did this manicure 5 minutes before leaving my house for my office holiday party.
I do have some tip wear and my thumb has a small chip...but overall not bad, after all I did wash dishes and my hands a gazillion times while baking..LOL :)
I know OPI is chip-tastic on some peoples hands, but it wears very well on mine..so my question is What polish wears like "iron" on your hands?
Happy Holidays! :)

My Blue Birthday Giveaway Winner and the best excuse ever!!!!
Okay so I have 2 things... first my giveaway winner. I love all of you for reading, following, commenting and just all around being AWESOME! I love the fact that there are so many other people who have the same addiction to polish that i have and it makes me smile everyday when I read your comments and read other blogs (I follow over 200)..you guys keep me constantly broke, but you also keep me constantly happy! *muah* and hugs :):)
Okay enough with the mushy stuff, on to the prize, I used Random.org and it pulled #83 out of 301 entries...*whew*
#83 was Sue (okibi insanity)...woo hoo, Sue..congrats! I've sent you an email, so let me know your address and your package can be mailed as soon as tomorrow :)
Okay now for my excuse, I have not had any "real nail" posts since Tuesday, because of this....
Hahaha, great excuse huh?! She's a rental..LOL, actually she is an English Bulldog and belongs to my friend. She purchased her as an xmas gift for her kids, but did not have a place to keep her until X-mas eve, so I volunteered to keep her for 2 weeks until the big day!
She is freaking ADORABLE! She's 9 weeks old and her name is Fiona, after Fiona in "Shrek". Love it!!!
So having her in the house means lots of laughs and fun, but no pretty painted nails...I'll survive, will you survive without seeing my nails for awhile? LOL :)
Have a great day!!!

New Franken "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" and a new phone :)
Woo Hoo!!!!!
After months of research and decision making I finally got a new phone...and I love my new Motorola Droid Pro <3...but what I love even more is my new HOLO FRANKEN....in love I tell ya! LOVE!
I used OPI "Blue Moon Lagoon" as my base (left over from the last franken) and kept adding dark blue polish, silver holo polish and black polish.
I was aiming for this to be an awesome navy holo, but it ended up being a fantastic dark "Confederate Blue", with teal undertones......and I love it!
Love this one, love it to pieces, do you like it?
And in the spirit of all my frankens this one is named after the Prince Song "It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night", from the "Sign O' The Times" Album :):)
Does anyone know if there is a blogger App for Droid, I need to download that ASAP :):)
