RBL: Under the Stars

Happy Monday!!!!

I bought this color in the Annual 50% off sale and I love it, did you grab it?

Rescue Beauty Lounge
2 coats, topped with Seche Vite

Pretty huh?..yeah it's gorgeous, but the shrinkage caused by Seche Vite is NOT!!

So I redid it the next day using INM "Out the door", topped with Seche Vite to speed up the drying time, because although Seche causes serious shrinkage, nothing dries quite as shiny and nice as it does. Wallah...

This polish formula is great, smooth and easy to apply, no issues what so ever!

This isn't a blackened teal, its a dark navy shimmer, nothing like this in my collection, however I did just by Diamond Cosmetics "Starshine" and the bottle looked very close to what was on my nail.

Stay tuned I'll do a comparisons of these two later. :)

I do wish the shimmer showed up more on the surface of the nail, like the bottle, but the "shimmer within" is still gorgeous!

Oh so pretty, and to put the cherry on top, I added some bling from ValentineKisses.com.

It's glass and it sparkles so nicely with my manicure!

OPI Goes Icy

Turn on the Heat with Icy Finishes!

OPI Introduces New Sorbet-Style
Lacquers for Spring/Summer 2011

From the company that brought revolutionary nail textures like matte, suede, and Black Shatter to women around the world, OPI announces a new special finish – semi-transparent sorbet shades. Featured first in the Texas Collection by OPI for Spring/Summer 2011, these lacquers give fingers and toes a lightly glossed appearance.
“These sorbet-style formulas for nails will be in full swing by 2012, but women can get a jump start on this trend with colors in the Texas Collection,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “Unlike thicker creams or light sheers, these twelve shades are slightly translucent – similar to the look of icy, water-based sorbet!”
From sea blue and berry pink to tangerine and bright peach, the Texas Collection features classic American colors.  Designed to complement trends from the runway, these candy-coated lacquers accessorize the season’s must-have neutral pieces.
“To achieve the desired effect, an initial coat of Nail Lacquer should be applied to all ten fingers first – without doubling up coverage,” explains Suzi.  “Be sure to start from the pinky finger on one hand and paint through to the pinky on the other hand; then, after the first coat has dried, apply a second coat.”

OPI Nail Lacquer shades contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and each includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application.
Texas Collection by OPI will be available February 2011, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.

Nubar: Jewel

I received this beauty from Kim D at All Things Nails!, she was so sweet to see I had it on my wish list and she sent it my way, Thanks Kim :)

Nubar "Jewel"
2 coats

I love this color, bronze holographic gorgeous-ness..yes, yes, yes!!!

Look at this?! Lovely and so easy to apply, no issues, 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat and I was done!!!

It's funny because the holographic glitter looks bumpy to the eye indoors (but it's not) and I kept rubbing it, and it was SMOOTH..and then I went outside and I was like... AH HA...this is definitely a polish meant for the outdoors...so pretty, and the glitter is so big.....this one is HOT!!!

I only have 3 colors from their "Prisms Collection", "Prize", "Gem", and "Jewel" and now I think I need the others....LOL :)

OPI: Texas Collection for Spring/Summer 2011

Deep in the Heart of Color

OPI Launches Texas Collection for Spring/Summer 2011

OPI comes “home” to the USA with timeless style in the Texas Collection for Spring/Summer 2011. These vivid shades are as iconic as images of an American summer – adding a fresh, effortlessly chic look for nails and toes.
“Texas provided the inspiration for this season, with bright colors and classic neutrals that draw from the American spirit,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “Taking cues from the state’s naturally beautiful backdrop, the Texas Collection features warm tones from honey and tangerine to dazzling hues of violet and sky blue.”
This season, American classics come to life with sunny peach (Big Hair…Big Nails) and vivid honeysuckle (Too Hot Pink to Hold ‘Em).  Lush berry (Houston We Have a Purple) and grassy green (Don’t Mess with OPI) add a splash of the USA’s most vibrant colors to the season’s must-have neutrals (San Tan-tonio).
“The Texas Collection complements trends from the runway, where white made an appearance as the new black,” explains Suzi.  “Wearing these colors on fingers and toes will accessorize the season’s must-have pieces – from brightly colored botanical prints and filmy scarves to relaxed trousers and jackets and fuller, longer skirts – all done in shades of white, ivory, cream and taupe.”

Texas Collection accompanies spring and summer fashion favorites with the following shades:

Sinful: Pretty In Pink Collection

Last week I was emailed PR materials from Sinful Colors.  A couple of days later they sent me 3 of their 6 new colors for this Valentines Day, so everyone put on your pink pumps and come with me :)

First up...
Sinful "Glass Pink"
3 coats with 1 coat of top coat

It's light pink, it's sheer all the things I usually do not like, but I LOVE IT...what can I say, I could wear this, as is, no complaints.  It's a very light pink sheer polish with tons of pink, and goldish bling. Just plain pretty!  It dries a tad matte, but nothing a top coat couldn't cure!

The first coat does not look pink, but by the 2nd and 3rd coat is was a perfect whisper of pink, no doubts.  It made me feel like a girly, girl in a pretty pink party dress...LOL

When I travel, I can wear this polish easy and if it chipped or if I had tip wear you wouldn't be able to see it :)

Next...
Sinful "Beautiful Girl"
3 coats

Barbie pink ya'll...I'm serious, I grew up with a room this color (my choice) and I'm tellin ya, its barbie pink..ALL DAY LONG! LOL!

There were some bald spots at 2 coats, so I did a 3rd to cover them up.  Sinful has a really good formula when it comes to their creams, and this did not disappoint.  This color isn't really my kind of color, but I decided to top it with "Glass Pink" to give it some interest and ...

Very cute..this is Barbie pink at the prom..too cute! Even though this is technically 4 coats of polish, it was not "thick" at all, very nice! :)

And I saved the brightest beauty for last...

Sinful "Boom Boom"
2 coats

The only word this polish is missing is POW...it is cute, bright and pink.  The formula was a bit watery, a hybrid between a cream and a jelly. This color had a great jelly finish, super shiny I really liked it :)

I know my pics make it look neon, but its not, its a bright bubble gum fuchsia, and I like it!

I say definitely grab "Glass Pink" and "Boom Boom", they are definite wins for Valentines Day....woo hoo Sinful

All colors are available at major drug and mass market stores nationwide for $1.99, by calling 1-800-448-0763 or online at www.sinfulcolors.com.

Thank you Sinful for the great colors for Valentines Day, and thank you to my followers for always commenting and  and letting me know how you feel, do you like these colors from Sinful?

OPI: Katy Perry - Part 2

Hello lovelies-
I'm back with the other 2 colors in the OPI Katy Perry Collection, and they did not disappoint. First up...

OPI "Not Like The Movies"
3 coats

I love this color, but I can not get my camera and this color to play nice with each other.  So here is the bottle pic.

The flashes of purple and green against the grey background is awesome.  It sparkles like you wouldn't believe, this one makes me happy, and I don't think the Black Shatter helps this one at all, but here is a pic. anyway :)

No topcoat, I think the the shininess of  N.L.T.M. against the black rubber texture of Black Shatter is pretty cool. I didn't add a top coat, but a top coat would still look great on this manicure.  I still prefer "Not Like The Movies" on its own :)

Next....

OPI "The One That Got Away"
2 coats

This one is so pretty, gorgeous bright fuchsia and it sparkles like a "Katy Perry" polish should sparkle!..it's like a "foil" meets a "shimmer"...Gorgeous! :)

No complaints on the formula either, applied like a dream, and dried nicely

Here it is again with Black Shatter on top.  Here I added a top coat to the index and middle fingers only, so you can see the difference.  I like this one with the top coat...love it! The drastic contrast between the deep black shatter to the bright shiny fuchsia...gorgeous!

My favorite way to use Crackle colors, is to wear the color first and after 2 days when it is chipping, getting dull or boring, top it with a crackle color and a top coat and you can get 2 more days of a new manicure :)

So which one of the OPI Katy Perry line is your favorite?
