"Changing of the Garnet" meets "Color Changing Garnet"

Hello, today I have 2 very different colors with 2 very similar names.

"Changing of the Garnet" and "Color Changing Garnet"...yeah, say that 10 times fast! :)

Here I started with 2 coats of OPI "Changing of the Garnet" and topped it with 2 coats of Ninja Polish "Color Changing Garnet", neat effect isn't it! :)

OPI "Changing of the Garnet" is from their 2002 European Collection. It is a gorgeous deep red shimmer with ultra fine golden shimmer.  Very pretty in person, but requires 2 or more coats to become opaque because it is an "older formula" and much thinner than the usual OPI :)

Ninja Polish "Color Changing Garnet" is from their "Facets Collection". This is a color shifting top coat and changes colors from red, to gold, to green, and even hot pink, and is best over any darker color! I've seen this layered black the most, but I thought I would switch things up a bit. :P

The glitter in this is red and switches to gold, green, and warm copper and keeps changing with ever movement of the bottle, and of the nail.  It also was easy to apply and dried perfectly smooth, no top coat issues here :)

Together these 2 colors make MAGIC!!!

Love, love, love it!!!

I know you guys are killing me, because neither of these 2 colors are easy to find now, but you have to admit, together they are pretty spectacular, right?

Laquerlicious Handmade Nail Lacquer

Hey all...today I have 2 holidays colors from Laquerlicious.

First up....

Laquerlicious
"Christmas Garland"
2 coats, with top coat

"Christmas Garland"  is a limited edition polish part of her Winter White Jelly's Collection (the other 2 colors are "Christmas Morning" and "Christmas Snowfall".  This polish has a white jelly base with every shade of red, magenta, pink, light pink, light green and silver glitter.

This polish reminds me of sugar sprinkles on cookies...I LOVE sprinkles, they are instant FUN in a jar!!!

This was perfectly opaque in 2 coats and the glitter went on smoothly, no need to "place" the glitter on the nail. I love how she strayed from only using red and green glitter to convey "the holidays" and added pinks and magenta glitter to the mix, it really made this polish stand out.

I used 1 coat of top coat over this to make it shine, but it wasn't  perfectly smooth so I think 2 coats of top coat will do the trick :) By far this brand has the best white jelly formula, it is perfectly opaque in 2 coats, simply perfect! :)

Next up...
Laquerlicious
"Tree Topper"
1 coat over a white base color, with top coat.

"Tree Topper" has a sheer pink duo-chrome base with large and small white matte, silver and iridescent glitter.  It is pretty sheer on it's own but layered over another colors, it's snowy and pretty! :)

Here it is again over Zoya "Kristen", 1 coat each, with top coat.

This is my favorite combo.  Here it is in indirect light, so you can see the glitter detail.

I love this combination, it is sooo pretty and is the perfect "Winter Wonderland" kind of manicure! :) This glitter went on very easy and did not clump up or drag onto the nail.  Perfect glitter application, too :)

Next, I tried it with China Glaze "Refresh-Mint", 1 coat each, with top coat.

In indirect light...

I love "Tree Topper" over faint colors, it really brings out the glitter detail and makes everything look frosty and ready for the holidays!

"Tree Topper" is the one to get, this looks amazing over almost any color, like the seasons first snow.  On her site she layered it over black and red, that is why I decided to do it over lighter colors, so overall it is an amazing topper. :)

"Laquerlicious lacquers are 3 free, which means they do not contain toluene, formaldehyde or dibutyl phthalate. They are made from high quality, cosmetic grade glitter. Even though the base lets very little glitter settle to the bottom, some settling will occur. Each bottle contains 3 stainless steel balls. For best result, please shake well before using."

Laquerlicious has a lot of fun colors, I have my eyes one "Speckled Punch", "Fancy Concrete" and "Christmas Snowfall". The polishes are $8.50 for a full sized bottle or she has several; mini bottle combos for $15, $25 and $50.  Also check out their Facebook page.

Here's to hoping that these fall in my stocking this year :)

Glitzology "All Or Nothing" over Zoya "Blaze"

Yep, I have another Glitzology manicure for ya...can you tell I really like this brand?

Glitzology "All Or Nothing"
1 coat of glitter over 1 coat of Zoya "Blaze"

My poor cuticles :( This cooler winter air is drying them out, I can't seem to keep them moisturized, so it's time to break out my moisturizing gloves and do a couple of my deep oil treatments and sleep in the gloves over night...wish me luck!

I love this manicure, more because it was perfect and done in 1 coat each, and then of course because he it gave me a "whole lotta bling" in very little time. Just 1 cot of each and I was ready for top coat.

Bottle Shot

"All or Nothing" has fuchsia, silver and teal holographic glitter, with added purple, teal and fuchsia shreds. It's a party in a bottle!  I thinned my bottle with 5 drops of thinner, just to make application of the glitter easier and smoother.

Because I only did 1 coat of glitter, I only needed to top this off with my usual 2 coats of top coat.

Here are some pics using my flash indoors :)

Zoya "Blaze" served as the perfect base color for this manicure,  it really blends in with the fuchsia glitter and makes the teal glitter stand out :)

Nothing wrong with a little bling for the holiday season!
