Jindie Nails: Summer Chic 2013 Collection, selected swatches and review

It's Monday and I have some fun new glitters for ya. Jindie Nails is about to launch their new Summer Chic 2013 Collection, and it is a real treat!

I swatched four of the five colors from the set.

"Quit Staring at my Melons!"
2 coats over Barry M Gelly "Grapefruit", 1 coat of top coat.

"Quit Staring at my Melons!" has a clear base with matte kelly green, barbie pink, gray, watermelon pink, black, light green, light pink glitter, with real silver flakes and intense green shimmer. Say that 10x's fast :)

This was very easy to apply over the Barry M.  I had no problem applying the glitter, and getting it off the brush was easy.  I love all of the round glitter in it,  The green and pink shades, remind me of juicy watermelons, LOL!

"Betty's Fetti Milkshake"
2 coats, 1 coat of top coat

"Betty's Fetti Milkshake" is a white crelly base with a mix of fun sized rainbow sprinkles. I love this, I love this one sooooo much! :) It applies, so smoothly, no coverage issues, just crelly goodness topped with sprinkles, OH YEAH! The sprinkles do apply a bit bumpy (almost like real sprinkles), so 2 coats of top coat is needed to make this perfectly smooth.  LOVE!

"Hex on the Beach"
3 coats, 1 coat of top coat

"Hex on the Beach" has a white crelly base with matte, baby pink, peach, red, orange, pastel yellow, canary yellow, metallic copper & light pink glitter with an added peach shimmer. This applied very easy, and the glitter came out like BUTTAH!  No application issues here, and I love the red and pink diamonds against the neon orange and yellow glitter.  This kind of glitter just screams "SUMMER" to me, I love it!.

"Don't Get it Citrus Twisted"
3 coats, 1 coat of top coat

"Don't Get it Citrus Twisted" is a bright neon green crelly with matte kelly green, pastel yellow, canary yellow, neon pink, and baby pink glitter, with gorgeous added silver shimmer.  I love this bright green, this kind of color really "sets off" a tan, perfect for summer.  The baby pink glitter is a nice touch and the silver simmer is really nice and gives this polish sparkle.

I did have a problem applying this to the nail, this is probably due to the fact that I had a mini bottle, and the brush is sometimes too small to apply larger glitter. I had to go "fishin" for glitter, but I got the glitter out, and it was worth it.  I am definitely going to grab a large bottle of this. Also, this glitter is major, so 2 coats of top coat is needed to get a perfectly smooth finish, which I usually do, so no problems there :)

Overall I say grab "Betty's Fetti Milkshake", "Hex on the Beach", and "Don't Get it Citrus Twisted", they are just what the doctor ordered for summer.

Zoya: Pixie Dust Summer 2013

Are you ready for some summery magic and wonder?

Zoya's Summer Pixies have been all the rage this summer, and I ave been loving it!  Are you a pixie fan?

2 coats, no top coat
a gold metal foil sparkle featuring a Zoya EXCLUSIVE GOLD PIGMENT

Love! This is a very nice metallic gold textured polish.  The sparkle is subtle, and the gold is not brash and bright. Really easy to apply and wear.

Mmmm, this reminds me of warm orange marmalade. :0 This is a warm tangerine metallic textured polish, I love the gold shimmer.

OH YEAH! I am loving all of the coral textured polishes this season, and this is not exception. The golden yellow glitter that shimmer against the coral is amazing! My pictures make it look more pink, but it is definitely coral.

A nice rose sparkler. Not terribly unique of stunning, but nice.  I can see using this for future nail art manicures.

Lovely warm toned lavender textured polish. I am not a fan of pastels, but this is nice and opaque in 2 coats, and is a definite keeper in my book.

Ahhh, yes...BRIGHT BLUE, I love my blues!
Warning....this color is amazing and it STAINS :( But that didn't stop me from wearing it twice ( I used double base coats).  It is a great bright blue metallic textured polish, easy to apply, and easy to fall in love with.

I am a big fan of Pixie Dust.  They delivery high sparkle and last a long, long time on the nail. Zoya recommends that you do not apply base coat, but I ALWAYS apply base coat with every manicure, and these wore very well with base coat underneath.

Keep in mind, since you do not apply top coat, your dry time may take longer, but don't worry...it's worth it! :)

Ruby Wing "Electric Firefly" and "Crowd Surf"

Happy Wednesday and I have something ELECTRIC to wake you up today!

These 2 colors from RUBY WING are AMAZING no matter where you wear them!

First Up...

Ruby Wing "Electric Firefly"
3 coats, no top coat
Indoors

This polish is HOT! It is a bright neon yellow shimmer, and the shimmer has a green quality to it, very reminiscent of a firefly! Growing up we called them "lightening bugs" :)

This applied very smoothly for a shimmer, but because of it's shimmer quality it needed 3 coats for opacity.

Outside this bright baby turns ORANGE with golden shimmer...

WOW!  I love this polish not only because it's bright neon yellow, that changes to orange, but because the SHIMMER changes as well. I love that!

Next Up...

Ruby Wing "Crowd Surf"
2 coats, no top coat
Indoors

This is a bright red based purple creme, almost neon, it's AWESOME and unfortunately this is the best photo I had that slightly captured how bright this is. This picture is from my phone, because my camera was having NO parts of this, LOL!

Outdoors it took on a deeper "berry" shade...

Applied well, no issues and almost went on like a gel, smooth and glassy! I loved it!

Overall my favorite is "Crowd Surf", but I really love them both.  In the summer, I love wearing color changing polish and thermal polish the most! The changes are always so drastic from hot to cold, and indoors to outdoors, it makes polish FUN!
