...and Milani delivered!
I was watching "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and Theresa, had on a glitzy black dress with steel grey shimmer, and I just had to have that same GLITZ on my nails.
So after digging thru my stash, and still not finding the black with steel grey shimmer, I opted for just the shimmer :)
Milani One Coat Glitter
"Silver Dazzle"
1 coat
In order to make sure this glitter removed easier, I layered it over one coat of Love & Beauty "Silver"....gotta love the simple name.
Milani One Coat Glitters, truly are opaque in one coat, it's amazing! and to rid them of any "bumpies", I topped this off with 1 coat of "Gelous" and then 2 cot of Seche Vite.
"Gelous", can be found at Sally's or their affiliate stores. It is supposed to be a base coat that delivers a smooth surface n your nail, before you color. However we "nail heads" have discovered that this also does well as a top coat for glitters, and can deliver a smoother effect than regular top coats. :)
Yep...definitely delivered the glitz...LOL.
However I still need to find a black glitter that is similar to this, but opaque in 2 coats, know any?

Yep, here are the 2 new colors from Serena Williams and OPI..and guess what?...NO Shatter! LOL!
OPI "Pros & Bronze"
2 coats
It's a rich bronze foil with small glass flecks of orange, pink and gold , which actually turn this bronze beauty into a true winner! LOL! All you need to know is , you need it!
It's metallic, perfectly smooth and applies like a dream, 2 coats and your done!!!
This color is "metallic" without being "in your face", and reminds me of the yellow and gold colored leaves that are on the trees during FALL. :)

This is a SUPER pigmented Hot Red with fuchsia glass flecks, hidden within! It's so bright it's almost neon, but not quite! Applied perfectly in 2 coats!
This collection should have been released in the beginning of summer rather than the end, it's the perfect set for summer fun!
Oh well, I'll have to rock this a much as possible, until the leaves start to fall...LOL! :)

China Glaze: Skyscraper...a lemming fixed?
So like everyone else once the metro collection was released I immediately made a bee line for China Glaze skyscraper, hoping it would cur my long time lemming for Essie "Starry Starry Night'!
With some careful and strategic layering, I think I got it :)
Here's what I used...
After my base coat, I applied:
NARS "Midnight Express" 1 coat
China Glaze "Skyscraper" 2 coats
Essie "Night Cap" 1 coat
Topped with OPI "Top Coat" and Seche Vite.
China Glaze "Sky Scraper" is a gorgeous blue jelly with silver glitter.
Adding "Night Cap" on top made the silver glitter sparkle like twinkling blue lights, I loved it!!! and I wore this for 4 days no chips!!
See the blue twinkling lights? :)
Here s a comparison from my earlier swatch of "Skyscraper" by itself...
And here it is layered...
The layering makes the blue deeper, and the silver glitter sparkles blue instead of silver once topped with "Night Cap". :)
Sometimes it just take some strategic layering to get ti right..LOL! :)

Personal Microderm Review with Promo-Code
PMD Personal Microderm is an at home microdermabrasion machine and kit.
'PMD Personal Microderm allow you to achieve the skin rejuvenation and anti-aging results of a professional microdermabrasion treatment in the convenience of your own home. This system reveals younger looking skin by using the same aluminum oxide crystals found in the equipment at the doctor's office. It smooths away dead skin cells, diminishing age spots and other signs of aging."
I had professional microdermabrasion done years ago, and it really damaged my skin. I had scarring, discoloration and hyper pigmentation. Eventually it went away, but for weeks I had to deal with a discolored face and scabbing...no bueno!
When the company approached me about reviewing their product i was SERIOUSLY skeptical, but once I received it, and watched the instructional DVD, I decided to give it a try!
A while back I tried the supplement Biotin, to help strengthen my nails. Well, my nails got stronger, but one of the side effects are skin break-outs and I had it! I stopped taking the biotin immediately, but the scars from the break outs remained.
Here they are:
BEFORE
They are easily covered up with makeup, and are smooth, but they are still there. :(, and they are predominant on only one side of my face..LOL.
Okay so here is what the device looks like:
It's about the size of a microphone and fit comfortably in the hand. There is an outlet and cord that plug into the wall, so no annoying batteries to charge or charger stand to set-up.
Easy on off switch, no "setting levels" to worry about, just "on", and "off". And when the unit is on, it sounds like an electric toothbrush.
This is what the "head" looks like with out the attachments.
Then you add the felt disk. This ensures that all the dead skin cells do not get down into the machine. After every use you just rinse this off under cool water, and let air dry between uses.
This is the BLUE attachment. With the kit you get 2 different colored attachments, BLUE is "sensitive" and GREEN is "medium". First time users, should always start off with BLUE
You can buy an additional RED attachment for "coarse"
The attachments come in 2 sizes. Large for larger areas of the face and body and the small one for small areas of the face, like the crease in the nose and around the mouth.
There is also a protective cap that must be applied before every use. This provides the suction needed for the discs to have contact with the skin.
Use was super easy: Once a week, I washed my face and dried it.
Then, using CONTINUOUS strokes while keeping the skin tight with one hand, you glide the unit over your face, avoiding the eye areas. I only went over each area ONCE, and I never HOVERED IN ONE SPOT.
All in all, this process took 15 minutes and my skin was super soft after every use. I've done this 3 times and I can see a lightening in the spots already.
AFTER
I'm definitely adding the PMD process to my weekly at-home spa treatments.
The PMDsystem includes 1 personal microderm, 5 exfoliating discs (2 green and 3 blue), 1 electric cord (Standard U.S. Outlet), 1 facial cap, 1 body cap, 1 reusable filter, Instructional CD and Pamphlet.
"This is ideal for those with fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, skin discolorations, and other imperfections who want smooth, even-toned skin."
And for my lovely readers they are offering $30 off coupon – with the Promo-Code: COATED30 (It expires on Sept. 26th)
You can get it HERE, at Personalmicroderm.com :)
Happy Friday!!!!

When you can't think of a NEW color to put on....
...go put on a FAVORITE!...and so I did!
Orly
"Halley's Comet"
3 coats
Yes..I know..this polish came out and there were (at least) 4 other company's that came out with the EXACT same color!... and YES...I will admit...I bought them all...LOL! :)
They're soooooooooooooo pretty!! I call them ...."The Quads"!!!
L to R: OPI "Catch me in your net", Orly "Halley's Comet", Zoya "Charla" (gave me smurf nails), and Essence "Choose Me!".
This is a perfect mermaid blue foil! It shimmers blue, and then green, and it's just beautiful!!!!!
I thought this was going to give me "smurf nails" (stain them blue) like "Charla" did, but NOPE, no staining!!!!
I wore this for 4 days, and then I still couldn't take it off, so I topped it with Nfu-Oh #52 for 1 more day, and it was the BOMB!!!!! ( I was sooo in love, I forgot to take pics)
Everywhere I went people kept asking me , "Wow, look at your nails..that color is awesome"..Thanks!!!!
Do you have any of ..."The Quads"?..LOL :)

OPI Releases the MUPPETS promotion for holiday!!!!
I am soooooo excited!
I am a MUPPET freak, I loved watching the Muppet Show as a kid and I can not wait to sport these colors all around town!!!!!!!!
This holiday season, OPI pays homage to America’s favorite Muppet friends as they hit the big screen in Disney’s The Muppets. With an all-star cast including Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Kermit, Miss Piggy and the entire Muppet crew, the family comedy opens in theaters nationwide on November 23, 2011.
Inspired by the film’s namesake lively and colorful characters, OPI launches twelve limited-edition Nail Lacquers for Holiday 2011. “OPI is so excited to work with Disney to celebrate this long-awaited movie release,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Not only do The Muppets characters inspire fun, bright and joyful colors, the fashionable Miss Piggy lends her name to three high-shine pink-based hues, ranging from bold red flecked with silver to a multi-dimensional strawberry shade.”
This line features six shimmery reds and neutrals, as well as six glitter-packed shades, including:

To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, Disney’s “The Muppets” hits the big screen Nov. 23, 2011.
